Out of curiosity, where do you guys place the 9S in terms of overall capability at this point?

As a start, they could stop oversizing robots...repeatedly...after multiple mech packs.

Bit hot for little gain.

You can run it on cold maps, but that's basically just Alpine and Frozen City. FC is too small for it to much use, and Alpine can be played at ranges past those of ERPPCs.

Solid opener for CW, good at all ranges, but hot, tanks like a monster.

WOW are IS pilots sooo poor they need even more heat , range , cool down and speed advantages to win??

IS mechs have a range advantage? First I've heard of it.

Clan stuff is all longer range than the equivalent IS stuff, that's why IS pilots have to bring Larges to compete with clan Mediums.

SRM range upto 75m more
ER/PPC range assload more (25% = 1012m vs 810m)
U/AC range 90m more
ERlaser range (any energy range of 10% or higher)

Small and med lasers and streaks IS is less range but usually faster duration , less heat per dmg , and some IS mechs are only 35m less range than clan ermed.

Buying Clan Mechs was one of the worst decisions I ever made. The lack of variety and the amount of locked features is frustrating. As a result, I pretty much play straight IS now. I still have Mechs from my Wave I package that aren't even Basic'd yet; they're just not fun.

PGI needs to make the Clans equal to the IS. Otherwise, what reason is there to play them?

Clan Lasers are too good.

In metagame its min max, and the outliers are what makes it


Its not the lasers that's destroying the IS its much better pilots and tactics. Over half the matches we win we are down on kills because we Concentrate on the objective and not brawl it out.

assuming most Pugs(to save C-Bills) are going IS,
as the Amount of Defenders to Attackers is 20:1 or more,

we can assume more IS-Pugs are going to Fight Clan Comp Teams?
as per assuming number of Comp team on both sides are about the same

because the Win Rate keeps going between IS and Clan back and fourth,
can we assume that Pug IS is better since more IS-Pugs should be going against Comp Clan,
so Clan should be winning hands down if IS-Pug was worse than Clan-Pug,

Math
if both sides have 100 Comp units, and IS has 400pugs to Clans200 pugs,

100(ISComp) + 400(ISPug) = 500(total) with 80% PugTeam Chance,
100ClanComp + 200ClanPug = 300(total) with 66% PugTeam Chance,

assuming Pug will lose 75% of time vs a CompTeam
so then more ClanComp should be fighting ISPug, than ISComp fighting ClanPug,
so Clan should be holding a higher lead than what we are seeing,

which means the WinRate of ISPug has to be Higher than ClanPug,
Thoughts?

Can we really Count Mechs Currently Not in Game toward Balance,
also remember they arnt coming for another 4ish months, :)
