Just got this bugger on sale and I have to say, it's the most fun hero I've piloted to date, and I have about half of em. Here's what i've been running as a bit of a can opener. AC10 and MLS for armor, and the soft, gentle touch of the MG's for internals. Red side for the hurt, blue side for the slow, peaceful damage.



If you're a fan of the Blackjacks (noticed how i avoided using "BJ" here) Seriously consider buying the Arrow for some 6mg fun!

Have to chime in here... I was really unsure if I would like the Arrow. I love all the other BJ's for the most part, but the Arrow cost real cash. I waited for it to go on sale the last time it was and I am not sorry I picked it up. I run mine with 3 medium pulse lasers and 6 mg's std 235 or 2 med lasers and a large pulse laser, both with level 5 cool down modules and a std 235. It is amazing how the large pulse laser and the medium lasers sync up with each other if you run both cool down modules at level 5.

1st build I carry around 8-10000 rounds of mg ammo and the second build around 8000 rounds. It is a very fun mech and I have gone on utter killing sprees with both builds. It was awhile back but I believe I took out 6 enemy mechs with the first build in one game, and one of the enemy pilots had faced me in a game just before that one, I killed him both times. He pops off in chat, "Lumbar F@$#'s me again." Good times

I got mauled by an Arrow running 6 MG's and 3 MPLS a few days ago. Seems to be a pretty vicious machine in the right hands.

I've been running it almost stock myself. Drop a DHS, max the JJs (for fun).

6 MGs (3 tons) LPL 2 MLs, with the stock STD 235. I've been enjoying it.


If only MGs hadn't been nerfed 25%...it would have been beastly.

I had a strong case of buyer's remorse for my Arrow... at first. I've grown to like it since, but I also don't run it as a MG boat anymore.

Here is the most successful MG config I tried. It was still very, very situational, and wound up being replaced by pretty much the same thing I run on my BJ-1. I have admittedly not tried MGs again since the quirk changes, but since they were for range rather than fire rate or damage, I can't really see the point in switching back.

If you like Jacks, and want a Jack with a cbill boost and gobs of loadout options, then the Arrow is a fantastic deal. If you want a good MG boat, you're out of luck because there's no such thing. If you're a good pilot in the right place at the right time, you can do amazing things with MGs, but you're still better off spending the tonnage on another laser and some sinks.

Yup, this guy has more armor on his Blackjack's rear than I have on any of my assault mechs.

Nobody should be getting shot in the back enough to need that much...

I picked on up during the sale too. Just running it stock, it's a monster. Definitely one of the Hero's that's actually worth the money over a Cbill variant.

I find it can punch well above its weight, though its MGs are not what they used to be. Also an excellent choice for players who like to support & watch the back of assaults.
