With temperatures getting warmer outside, the 2nd story of my house has been warming up and I have started to see more crashes in MWO. Last night was particularly warm in my office and I crashed several times. The first few crashes were just to the desktop with no error message, but the last one was the entire graphics driver. I lost signal to my monitor and had to reboot to get it back.

I am going to start by addressing the issue from a physical standpoint, cleaning out my case and also creating a "cut-out" in my computer desk to allow better airflow out the back of my tower.

As far as game settings go, are there any graphics settings in particular that would generate more heat in a video card than others? I have a hot-running 560 Ti and I'm planning to replace it later in the year, but I need to get by until then.

Firstly, what temperatures are you seeing before a crash occurs?

you could try getting case fans with higher rpms, and try to have more air flowing out of the case than in.
