I love the idea, I have an android myself, however I would like the devs to focus on the game. If they have the in house talent to do an app, making one that gives you feeds like news and patch notes would be nice. Adding the mechlab sounds a bit more intense if you want it to be GUI. If you just want a simple lab that allows you to play with in game configurations, that might be easier for them to do. Anyway, great idea and one that will get a lot of attention from the active community.

Don't worry, i want the game first! I wouldn't envision any tablet goodness until PGI has had a chance to launch and iron out any problems.
