Description: Before the patch the game ran fine. After patching the Launcher starts up fine, but once the actual client is launched it very soon hangs up and the process freezes before anything is displayed on the window. Running the repair tool did not help.

Location: Global

Reproduction Rate: 100%

Steps to Reproduce: Unknown

Additional details: I am Running MWO on Linux trough wine-staging and thus on an unsupported platform. This is such a sudden regression, that it might be worth investigating nevertheless, as it may come up on supported platforms as well. I am running the 32bit client. Got nearly the same Problem, but i am on a win7 64bit system not on linux and it only happens with the 64bit client.
32bit client works well.

i compared the omicron log files and while i tried the 64bit client everythings loaded normaly but it stop right then when it tries to load the [PlayerProfiles].

Same here. After this patch, am unable to play game. It just hangs on the patcher, the 'BootstrapSentinel.exe *32' just jumps back and forth on my win7 task manager and I am unable to 'end task' so i just reboot to clear it. It's been over a week now, and I still can't play : (

I have the same problem... I have Windows 7 64 bit client (but use the 32 bit Patcher)...

Is there anything on this problem yet?

As with many of the others, the game hangs after I log in.

Win 7 using 64 bit client.

same here...after the patch, the wont load.
been "connecting" for minutes and nothing happens.
already run tools...same problem.

I fixed my problem.. had to run the Patch over 30+ times... to weed out problematic files....

Here is what I did.. not sure if it will help others though.. goodluck to all

As of April 21st hotfix, there has been no improvement so far.

I had this start to happen last patch, but deleting my profile 'fixed' it... Well after today's patch deleting it lets me in... But when I reset my screen to my monitors native res, the game instantly freezes and stops responding... This is just silly.

I can patch but it crashes immediately after hitting 'play'. I've run the repair tool. I've also done a complete reinstall. The same issue exists. Here's the error code I'm getting at crash;

still no solution to this? still cant load the game...after i log in it just start :"connecting"
then nothing else happens.

My issue was sifferent, it would reach the mech garage main screen then stop responding.
It was Overwolf (teamspeak) "causing" it to happen. If you have Overwolf or any other overlay program try killing it first.
Chance it is the same problem with lockup at different points.

I am getting slightly frustrated. Anyone had any luck with any potential local fixes or gotten any responses to their bug reports?

I've been playing for probably a year or more without an issue, then this after the patch. Of course, on the same day I "gift" myself a mech. I'll be looking for a refund if this goes on without a reply any longer. I've sunk a LOT of money into this game, I believe I (we) deserve a response or at least an acknowlegement that "Yes, we screwed up something"

Apparently Panda Antivirus doesn't like something in the last patch. I've had Panda for years but I had to change to a different AV for the time-being.

A complete clean reinstall also did not help.

Running Windows 8 and having the same issue. The hotfix did nothing. Running the repair tool did nothing. I'll wait a bit more then just write off the game if unresolved.

A week without playing, missing out on the recent event and unit activities, and still no response to this or the support ticket.

Only five days left in the Resistance 2 deal as well. Would be nice to know if I can keep playing this game or not before missing that deal.

Getting moderately frustrated by now. Any suggestions on how to prod for any sort of response?

same, also get locks in loading the mechbay.. atl_tabbing to another program causes it to unlock... ..really weird stuff

Have you tried using the repair tool instead of re-installing? Maybe for some reason, your computer is not installing something properly and the repair tool can see what files were affected because of it. Just a thought.
