We are at an interesting cross-roads of MWO.
The Battle of Tukayyid and CW in general is on the wane.
All the packs of mechs they have sold us are digital content only.
If PGI and MWO go under, you get nothing for all your time.
PGI, please start to consider the longevity of your gaming artwork here.
Implement making hard copies of the game and the packs we purchased for backup to CDs/DVDs.
Implement a final solution to allow player to play MWO on private servers to keep the game, artwork, and our expenditure on the mechs, alive and worth something in the future.

Heck, I'll bet they could even sell it to us and we'd buy it. Most of us would pay $20 to keep everything we have forever, I think.

It ain't gonna happen, but I would like to see them provide a method to host our own servers when their servers are shut off.

There is a long list of games that continued on, continually developed by the fan base, run on private servers, that companies could continue to work with and actually sell product.
Putting the code on disc or allowing for a full client download, encouraging the community that plays the game to make maps, mods, modes, skins, and so on; gives a game new directions, a longer life span, and more appeal to more people.
PGI would help itself by doing these things that other successful games have done.
