I know it seems a bit overwhelming, but if you take the time to examine this flowchart it's very clear;

Glenn Beck would never admit listening to NPR.

NOPE. There are some glorious, glorious works of literature in there.

I am also familiar with a lot of these books, writers, stories and concepts. Does that make me a nerd?

Watership Down is fantasy? ... Well, I guess it could be considered contemporary fantasy, but it's really more of an allegory/fable than the more common swords-n-sorcery fare. It could just as easily fit into a PoliSci reading list.

I've read about a 1/3 of them and watched the director's cut on some as well.

I've read about 3/4 of them, but then I might be atypical: At the age of 14 I had read all the books in the local library's SF and Fantasy bookshelves and had to move on to ... Romantic Poetry.

No, that's not what it immediately sounds like. Think Blake, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Shelley, Byron, and Keats.

I emptied three local libraries of scify and fantasy books by the age of 16. (Starting with Stephen King at the age of 8).
By 21 I had my own library to rival and even surpass the local libraries. All my books are in english and english is only
my second language.

The local libraries were the place where I found my first Battletech novels.

Oh almost forgot. I am now burnt out on books. But I am thankful that movies and games have gotten to the
point where they deliver on the promises made in books.

Ender's Game and The Hunger Games are movies that brought tears to my eyes.

Wow....talk about a lack of imagination.

Sorry I was too lazy to make up an actual flow chart of PGI quirks for you. Maybe then you would have "got it".

Sorry I was too lazy to make up an actual joke or point or post or anything that would actually warrant attention. Instead I am just going to get pissed someone did not like my post and that this thread is quite old now and has not taken off. I will probably endeavor to make crappy non jokes and then get pissed when people dead pan me and my lack of funny.

There.. fixed it.

Ahh, good, it included the Malazan Books of the Fallen series. Great books. Garden of the Moons may be a tad tough for some to get into it but after that you will be damned :)

Introduced that series to 3 people at work, now through them and others now have 185 who are reading or have read that series and the other books related that universe.

OUCH...beatdown by the guy that I am going to assume like an ass is not intelligence and has no imagination or no humor, Mean while I am going to yell like a 12 year old that I am right when my post was, Not funny, Not intelligent and not honest, and then claim I am not the one who is massively butt hurt because I went out of the way to respond to the guy who is not even following the damn thread.

Please stop, I am running out of my lack of points or being a decent person and am constantly showing my ass, And I have yet to realize that "Flow chart for great fantasy/scifi books" would of been a much better topic line more honest, more appreciated, And instead continue to say that posting it as "quirks flow chart" was funny or some bull like that.
