Bumping this up, I now have ~$320, enough for a 500GB Samsung 850 Evo, however I'm also looking for a cheap 1080P TV to replace my Acer Monitor (A221HQL, with some Horizontal Lines of Dead/Stuck Pixels along the bottom) as a Primary Monitor so I'd like to save money where I can. for Storage I'm torn between a 1TB Hybrid (SSHD)/Dual Drive (SSD+HHD) or a 500GB SSD?
500GB SSD, Samsung 850 Evo for $219+ Tax (~$247.47): http://www.canadacom...&item_id=080111

WD Black² Dual Drive 120GB SSD + 1TB HDD (5400RPM) for $159+Tax (~$179.67): http://www.canadacom...&item_id=066674

Seagate 1TB SSHD (I'm guessing 7.8GB SSD+1TB HDD (7200RPM)) for $84.99+Tax (~$96.04): https://ca.pcpartpic...ive-st1000dx001

I would not consider the Black2 for a desktop at all. It's really only useful for single 2.5" bay laptops. You would be better served getting a 120GB SSD and 1TB HDD. Hell...you could probably get an SSHD and a 120 SSD for the price of the Dual Drive.

of the ones in that list, I'm most interested in the 2TB Seagate Hybrid/SSHD for $110/120 ($124.30/135.6 After Taxes): http://www.canadacom...&item_id=063162

I don't think they make a hybrid drive that satisfied my wants for gaming (currently I believe the SSD portion of them is still too small to matter beyond making booting faster and I wanted more out of them).

I think you're on the right track grabbing a smaller EVO drive and a secondary storage drive.

I believe there were some compelling reasons to not use a 1080p TV as a gaming monitor. If you're going to use it as a monitor AND a regular TV on a budget, then by all means do it. If it's only going to be a monitor (read that: if it's not going to be attached to a cable/satellite box) then just get a monitor.

I don't even know why any normal person should care that much about storage device speed. It's fast enough as is. Save your cash.

When you play multiplayer games, the main bottleneck will be other people's speed, not yourself. When you load up single player games...well, most games have pretty fast load time and very few loading screen these days. Most other applications really don't need the speed--unless you regularly transfer dozens of GB of stuff at a time or something.
Save the money. Faster speed is nice, but it's money better spent elsewhere.

I was Planning on Using it as a Monitor and hook my Xbox 360 & Playstation 2 to it, so if I was to Get a Monitor then it would need either a HDMI or Component/Composite Input for The Xbox 360 & Component or RF Input for The PS2 along with a HDMI, DVI, VGA or Mini DisplayPort Input for my Computer, and Built in Speakers would be nice also.
I was hoping for 1080P(1920x1080), 60Hz and 5ms Response Time. The Closest i've found sofar is a Vizio 39" Smart TV (E390i-A1), Would meet the 1080P & 60Hz Requirement, But Response Time is 6.5ms, I could get it for $200 That would leave me with ~$130 For a Storage Device: http://www.kijiji.ca...adId=1088156555

As For 2nd hand SSDs, There's someone selling a 500GB Samsung 840 EVO for $230: http://www.kijiji.ca...gationFlag=true

250GB 850 EVO for $135, Brand New With Receipt: http://www.kijiji.ca...gationFlag=true

250GB 840 EVO Brand New & Sealed for $140: http://www.kijiji.ca...gationFlag=true

Brand New Adata SX900 256GB for $90: http://www.kijiji.ca...gationFlag=true

120GB OCZ With No Price or Model Listed: http://www.kijiji.ca...gationFlag=true

120GB OCZ Vertex for $60: http://www.kijiji.ca...gationFlag=true

3 month old Samsung 850 Pro 256GB for $140: http://www.kijiji.ca...gationFlag=true

Supposedly it's about refresh rate. However, I have not seen any ghosting/artifact issues on my TV. TVs are much better nowadays compared to a few years ago, so I think they work just fine, especially for budget rigs that will not be outputting 120++fps. Only then should a proper monitor be superior.

I use a 40" TV for my monitor (and also a TV), and it works just fine. My only annoyance is that text can become really tiny on a lot of programs--they can be adjusted for most programs through Windows control panel settings though. But that can do weird things to some other programs (I remember that your mouse in Diablo3 disappears entirely when you enlarge your text, but never had a problem with other programs/applications).

My understanding is that the big problem with using a TV as a monitor is input latency. The image processing on most or all televisions is just too big a drag on them being a compelling choice for monitors, while monitors tend to keep that more minimalist. Monitors can get down to just a few ms (I think the MG279Q was measured as low as 4ms), which no TV, as far as I know, approaches, while TVs can get up damn close to 100ms. In the middle seems to be a long list of displays in which simple monitors tend to be on the lower side and TVs on the higher side.

OK, if I were to get a new TV From a Store, it would likely be this:
http://www.bestbuy.c...95079120d22en02
1080P
60Hz
5ms Response Time
24"
Enough Inputs to Hook everything up to it
Unsure of Input Lag, http://www.displayla...splay-database/ only got 2 Insignia 1080P Models Listed, Both 2013 Models, 1 22" The Other is 32", the 22" was 29ms, the 32" was 28ms

that would leave me with $112-113 for Storage, for that price I'm leaning towards the 1TB Seagate 7200RPM Hybrid, $84.99+HST would=$96.04: http://www.canadacom...&item_id=063161

A bit of a Update:
I Should, Hopefully be Getting a Samsung UN22F5000AF, About 1 year old & Used for About 10 Hours Altogether For $60 on The Weekend, Was Used as a Monitor for a Mac Mini: http://www.kijiji.ca...itor/1090728542
Specs:
1080P
60Hz
Unknown Response Time (5-8ms is my Guess)
29ms Display Lag
2 HDMI Ports and Component Input, All The Inputs I'll Need, For Now I Think.
That should leave me with ~$170 for Storage, for that Price I can Still go with that Cheap Seagate Hybrid or a 120GB Samsung 850 EVO & a 1TB Seagate Barracuda.
