oi

Plz make chat available during searching

Plz let us be able to hand over groupleadership.

The MWO world would be a bit more pleasant with this.

Can you just push the HUD info to the cockpit monitors? That would be great.

It absolutely bothers the heck outta me every time I see them with their no signal screen.

If the HUD info was on the cockpit monitors I'd love to be able to turn the HUD right off.

Sure, that might not be the most "competetive" way to play, but it would be immersive and fun.

A chat system that doesn't come from 1992 would be great, thanks.

they already said they are going to make the monitors work and no current hud info is not important enough to have them on monitors atm.

a NON-hidden search tool in MWO forums (minor I know, but annoying a times to search for stuff not already posted)

I'd go one further. The search on the forums right now isn't very helpful. You can't narrow it by time, forum, section, or anything. You can't search by poster, and you can't sort. When I search for something it finds anything with those words anywhere in the discussion in the past three years or whatever. It doesn't seem to organize results. It's pretty much impossible to find something you're looking for with a search like that.

Also, I don't know why people are posting in this thread. OP clearly said they wanted a thread for each feature.

Being able to customize HUD, including an HTAL display, would be awesome. Being able to zoom the minimap in or out would also be helpful.

How about adding some player vs cpu aspect in the game? There were times when the queues could take 1-4 mins just to get into a game! that's pretty lengthy, perhaps some missions against cpu could definitely help some players to have an alternate to credits and xp earning. The gameplay against cpu would be like what we experienced in earlier mechwarriors series, destroying a convoy/base/dropship/mechs with loads of (cpu) mechs, tanks and turrets protecting it. Hell, maybe even add in a hero mech where it could take place as a 'boss' for that mission.

That would be nice but the overhead would prohibitive, best you can do is if you have processor power is to use over wolf or a like software and record it your self.

Other games manage just fine. No need to grab video, "just" record the game relevant information that is sent between client and server anyway and make that playable by the client again who does the local rendering. Might be a bit more complicated than that, but it is doable (popular example include world of warships and hots).

I'd like to see daily quests/missions in mwo. Don't get me wrong, the frequency of events has picked up noticeable and that's wonderful, prizes have improved, too, but ... it seems to me, the casual player is not too successful with these events. At least the last few require a significant commitment of time (100 above average games for the current one within 5days) - I didn't complete that.

What I'm looking for is a blatant copy of other games (hots, wows) that give you one new mission every 24 hours, you can have 3 active at a time and each mission gives some reward. Most of these you'll just do on the side while playing anyway, but they are motivating and good at getting players to logon, play a few games for their current missions, be happy they got rewarded and come back.
Translating to mwo, I'd think along the lines of:
Do 2000 points of damage on enemy mechs over any number of games for 100k chills
Get "kill most damage" 5 times over any number of games for 50k chills
Get 3 solo kills over any number of games for 500gxp
Get 4 tag assists in one game for 1 improved artillery strike consumable
..

You get the idea. Mission objectives can be tweaked over time, as can rewards.

Can we have a better weapon grouping system.

Unless you have a mouse with 6 buttons plastered all over it firing weapons in groups is a pain in the rear.

eg.

Say you want fire 6 large pulse lasers without the heat penalty but dont want to have a slow dps.

If we could have chain fire but grouped weapon chain fire

like 2-2-2

From a single button pressed three times or holding that button the weapons fire in groups of two.

Few of the things I would like to see is in the Mech Lab we have a reset button and a strip button can we add a stock button or added this to the reset button. One other thing that would also be nice to have is the ability to save builds so that we can change from one setup to a different one with out spending alot of time of redoing builds.

I would like you to add a searchlights for every mech. To make it eligible to get enemie's nightvision blinded with it or aim targets with it for a distances which nightvision can't reach.(for example light recon mech with it can find hostile mech(even ecm'ed) and show it with lights for heavy ballistic mechs on the other side of the river city which will shot that target), and this would be quite well because of upcoming famous warhammers searchlight on the shoulder)
It can add some interesting tactical moments. And make night battles less irritating.
Or maybe you should provide it as an additional module. Because it'll be a great advantage on th night maps with collaborative team, and not all mechs have to use it.

I will once again suggest a 3025 mode for the matchmaker to coincide with the releases of the Marauder and Warhammer as well as the BattleTech KS campaign. Make it so the matchmaker automatically excludes mechs and gear that is not available in 3025 in the 3025 game mode.

First of all you have to concider that not only fans of battletech(as me) play this game, but ordinary people. If you want to play some year you can easily play match among teams who support that, like those who like stock play.
And secondly too much modes of game requires more servers, or it'll increase the waiting time of connection. Do you stil want it?

Wonder if there are any new weapons to come out soon like Inferno Rocket Launcher, Smoke-AGL, Heavy Rocket Launcher that were in MW4? Would be nice to have more heat weapons, cause flamer is next to useless in MWO compared to MW4.

The crosshair to bounce up and down in First Person like it does in Third Person. Would put a stop to fights that go for 3 seconds because you came across someone with high-alpha pinpoint builds aiming at your CT. Which everyone runs now. Mechwarrior is supposed to be about long, desperate battles between mech pilots, not quick instakills between super-accurate machines. It would also discourage the majority of players preferring sniping with PPC's and Gauss.

For ballistic ammo to be affected by gravity once they go beyond their Optimal Range.

For Flamers to be useful.

For the Weapons Group screen to tell you which component which weapon is attached to.

For something to go on the No Signal screens, but I know that's on the to-do list so :D

A fleshed out PvE and maybe some rewards for doing it. Like faction specific stories like for example a House Stenier player follows Archer Christofori during the FedCom civil war. Players can unlock faction content for completing missions ranging from Escort fleeing civilians, seize a spaceport, conduct a rescue mission. And as a reward for completing a factions PvE, players are rewarded with a special variant of an existing design or a faction specific mech. Sticking with the Steiner example, said Steiner player would receive a special Warhammer or get a Penatrator and the ability to buy more variants in the store.

Working in some other kind of respawn mechanic so that every gametype isn't team death match. Maybe keep the drop deck but add a count down timer to destroyed mechs based on how much damage was taken and weight class. That way lighter mechs in general can quickly return to battle. Exception to that is artic cheetah loses 5 components and dies while Dire Wolf just gets its head taken off, Dire Wolf will be back first

As far as Autocannons go at least, gravity does affect your shots. Take a mech with an AC2 and an AC5 out for example, then aim at something across river city. You'll notice your AC2 will strike much higher than your AC5.

As for the weapons group screen, that'd be fantastic if maybe the selected weapon was highlighted on the physical doll of the mech itself, so that you can group left vs right etc.

For the mechlab itself, it would be nice to have the option to choose which weapon goes on which hardpoint for example certain mechs have hardpoints that are better geometry wise, and it can be frustrating when the game decides to put your weapon in the lower of two avaiable hardpoints for example.

Last idea is maybe there could be button to show stats from last game? There is currently only a small period of time after the game ends that this information is visible.
