For good Reasons.
Most of them were citizens (until then), not soldiers.
For what Idea(l)s do the US Armed Forces fight right now (and in the future)?
The day has nothing to do with the US Army.
Only thing, they celebrate this very imortant day, too.

Funny, since in california, the "foie gras" is now bannished because it's "unhuman to feed the ducks by shoving food down their throats"...

Honestly, what would happen to the world if the U.S. was not here? Look at all of the aid and support we give a multitude of countries. I honestly believe that many countries would suffer if we did not help them.
No we are not perfect and neither is anyone else but at least we are willing to help.....
The next time our allies and us need to save the world maybe we should just keep it. Or just go back to isolationism and let the world crumble. Maybe you should start practicing Chinese or Persian.....

When was the last time the U.S. helped an ally?

U.S.* Sorry, people calling the U.S. America is one of those pet peeves I have, scince saying America implies both north (Canada) and south America. Regardless, happy 4th

Last time I checked, its the UN that provides most of the peace keeping, while the U.S. just pops into countries having civil disputes that dont even want them there. How will they take over the world by fighting amongst themselves exactly?
Edit: Sorry, double post

Just to re-iterate: the following link is a joke. It's a humorous piece of writing designed to create conversation between two allied countries. We like sarcasm and fun conversation here.

So I invited him to our families 4th of July picnic and to enjoy some fireworks in the evening. He laughed, but said what the hell.
That evening he had a great time, and he told me
"You know we sort of figured we lost the fight when we saw you Yanks dumping tons of tea in the harbor." (as he shook his head in disappoval.)
I laughed so hard!!
