In 1775 they fight for their right to decide on their own, against the British Empire (or better, King George III).
For good Reasons.
Most of them were citizens (until then), not soldiers.
For what Idea(l)s do the US Armed Forces fight right now (and in the future)?
The day has nothing to do with the US Army.
Only thing, they celebrate this very imortant day, too.

One of the greatest aspects of being an American is being able to shove our culture down the rest of the world's throats...so in that spirit, GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Funny, since in california, the "foie gras" is now bannished because it's "unhuman to feed the ducks by shoving food down their throats"... ;)

Happy 4th July Guys ! I'll stay clear of the political debate for now and just honestly wish you guys a nice day.

From what I saw on a poll I came across, Europe is actually, by a huge margin, the biggest player base.

Speaking as a red coat, I must say that you colonials are only enjoying a brief chapter of independence before the empire rises again!

Honestly, what would happen to the world if the U.S. was not here? Look at all of the aid and support we give a multitude of countries. I honestly believe that many countries would suffer if we did not help them.

No we are not perfect and neither is anyone else but at least we are willing to help.....

The next time our allies and us need to save the world maybe we should just keep it. Or just go back to isolationism and let the world crumble. Maybe you should start practicing Chinese or Persian.....

Thanks for all the people that came before us that discovered, immigrated and built, fought and defend what we call America today.

U.S.* Sorry, people calling the U.S. America is one of those pet peeves I have, scince saying America implies both north (Canada) and south America. Regardless, happy 4th ^_^

Last time I checked, its the UN that provides most of the peace keeping, while the U.S. just pops into countries having civil disputes that dont even want them there. How will they take over the world by fighting amongst themselves exactly?

Edit: Sorry, double post

To be fair, the USA is one of (if not the) the largest humanitarian aid donors to the UN (and other aid organisations).

I'll just leave this here

Just to re-iterate: the following link is a joke. It's a humorous piece of writing designed to create conversation between two allied countries. We like sarcasm and fun conversation here.

I had a good buddy from England in college years ago.

So I invited him to our families 4th of July picnic and to enjoy some fireworks in the evening. He laughed, but said what the hell.
That evening he had a great time, and he told me

"You know we sort of figured we lost the fight when we saw you Yanks dumping tons of tea in the harbor." (as he shook his head in disappoval.)

I laughed so hard!!
