it will be one of the fastest lights, with JJ, and able to use clan SSRMs......
how the heck is this little beast NOT going to be one of the best lights in the game
I was 100% on the IS side.. I refuse to but any clan mechs..
I'm about to make an exception

Though I should add the Locust IIC actually has at least 3 variants for this time period, so it could be it's own mech... The prime is the MPL+6xERSL, while the IIC 2 is ERML+2xSSRM2s, and the IIC 3 is an ERLL+2xSPL. Because it runs a standard engine it's actually heavier than it needs and if it was not done as an omni (because it's not) We should be able to replace the 200 Std engine with a 200-240 XL and gain even more room... It would be a strong clan competitor to the heavier firestarter (the prime IIC could do 7 SPLs).
I still fell their are just to many 35 ton mechs and we could use more 20-25 tonners...

The IICs will be hard to pass on, even for this IS loyalist.

IIC - Super Oxide
IIC-2 - Super Jenner-K
IIC-3 - Super Jenner-D
IIC-A - Super Jenner-F (Early Adopter Variant)
Each carries more JJs than Jenner, 3 can use Clan Streaks, automatically go faster than any IS 35 tonner, FF & Endo built in.
Between this and the Arctic Cheetah, Bye-Bye IS Light domination?
Now the Hunchback-IIC is a whole different story.
Clan Mechs OP Thread incoming.....

I'm an I.S. Pilot... I just dropped 20 on a Jenner IIC pack....
seriously... how is this little monster not going to be the best light mech in the game?
cant wait to see it up on smerfy so I can play around with the IIC-3 build... 2 Missile and 4 Energy?
I wonder what I can fit into it.....
BTW naming all my J2C's Shara, just saying

I always preferred the original IIC myself:
Also... While I expect an Origins 2 pack will be coming... Given the time frame I suspect it won't be out until next summer (with a new IS four pack in the spring). Which is much to long for a solid 25 tonner like the Locust IIC... And it will have to compete with the Commando IIC and Urbie IIC for that spot... Knowing PGI I'd expect the next pack won't be the Locust IIC either. I'd expect the Commando IIC as they seem to be going oldest to newest...

It's likely that not everyone is going to max out the Streak boating. Many people will probably sacrifice some missiles for TAG and a laser, or else It's going to be completely and utterly SOL against ECM. Not to mention streak-6s have awful ttk against Heavies and Assaults unless they're already about to die, and ttk being awful against something that can kill you in one alpha is a pretty big deal.
Still, it will be a very formidable opponent against lights and mediums when there's no ecm. Definitely looks fun.
I'll probably get it, since this whole Origin IIC pack is the cheapest of the clan packs and the mechs look interesting. I'll probably be sticking to either regular SRMs or Streak-2s though. Boating Streak-2s should be enough against lights and meds in most situations, and I'll be kapoot against Heavies and Assaults as a streak boat anyways, so why bother with the inefficiency of the streak-6. boating regular SRMs, I'll at least be able to do some (relatively) pinpoint damage against the big guys.

Using max engine, JJs, and the streaks... it will be...
1) poor selectability in where the damage goes.
2) worse DPS then IS
3) hotter
4) bigger thus easier to hit
5) chicken legs = easier to hit
etc...
Also lack of quirks. and HUGE ammo dependency...
no ecm either. no double + ams.
no ballistics.
Etc... many room of errors for being the best mech or at least light in game.
Others will have a bit of an advantage and a disadvantage over this. This does include the normal Jenner. and most likely will have T1 grade quirks or no quirks.
