Have you found the MASC meter at the start of a match/training ground already red and maxed up? It happened to me a couple of times but thankfully it did nothing to the legs.

Seems you found a hidden Matchmaking feature. If you do too good, it will lock up your MASC.

no, but that happens with my heat... like I join a match or come back from a DC and I am at 50% heat and going down...
1 guy once DC'ed and he somehow killed him self (stationary, didn't fire anything, and no MASC) in that DC time and got back to his dead mech.

I have, but it was in the training grounds. I suffered leg damage from it.
