the implementation of DX12 (after Win 10 launches) will give an added boost to AMD CPUs and GPUs. I'm running an FX-8350 and am happy with the performance. Intel will still be worth the money to those who want to spend it. Unless AMD does something new re: CPUs, in about 2 years time I'll migrate to Intel CPUs. But right now, AMD works just fine for me.
