Oh hell yes. HBS knows their turn-based games. As much as I suck at playing their Shadowrun Returns, and as much as I find that old-school cyberpunk story cheesy as heck, those are good stuff. Not so many established studios have successful turn-based games out there, and HBS is definitely among the better ones.

Besides, the concept art looks like their straight from MWO:

This is gonna be good. My guess is on a single-player-only game, but still. Better that than crap multiplayer. They know what they're doing.

Well, it's the studio behind the two (soon three) Shadowrun Returns games, which were an excellent throwback to the good old days of turn-based RPGs.

With a developer like this, I have a very good feeling about this project. :)

If they would not make good games, their kickstarters would not be this successful. Oh and just for the record, that most recent kickstarter ended 1200% funded, at $1,204,726 pledged with an average of $38 per backer.

Hmm...Mechwarrior Tactics, once bitten...twice shy. Although, Jordan is one of the "parents" of Battletech and Mechwarrior and Hairbrained Schemes has produced some quality Shadowrun games recently, so I am excited! Also, with Russ confirming that PGI will share art assets...my wallet is smoking! Please let this be cross-platform PC / Android / IOS, I so want to be able to replace my PC with an Android tablet and be free of the semi-yearly upgrade cycle.

No IGP or no-name devs behind this one though.

LOL Jordan has been "cash grabbing" on the Battletech Franchise as long as it has existed, since he was one of the creators.

Why, because companies create products to make money? I see that you have spent quite a bit on MWO, maybe there will be a cross-promotion like Blizzard does? I loved the idea of MWT, but it was bungled and any potential was squandered in the worst of ways, this could be the game that MWT should have been.

This has me excited even more! I really like MWO's redesigns. Modernised and "grittified" sufficiently to look like actual military hardware, yet still faithful to the original shapes.

Huh? Is somebody forcing you to upgrade your hardware? :P

My personal approach is to buy a new high-end PC about every five years; this gets me by nicely. Granted, of course a tablet you can keep around even longer, but the software you are using with it will be affected by not being able to make use of newer technologies that require more juice to run.

That being said ... turn-based strategy should be fairly modest in its requirements, and HBS' Shadowrun Returns can be run on a tablet as well, so if you are really dead-set on this, maybe you will be in luck. :)

HBS has also partnered with Cliffhanger to promote each other's Shadowrun games (for example, you could get a Harebrained t-shirt for your character in Shadowrun Chronicles), so they are at the very least open to the concept!

Maybe a paintjob or a cockpit item for MWO, and a special MWO unit for HBS' Battletech game?

I'm worried that HBS' game won't allow multiplayer, much like their Shadowrun games don't. It won't be a dealbreaker for me, of course, but ...

I will be disappointed if it is single-player only. I hope that it has a great single-player campaign and also a streamlined PvP mode.

C'mon folks, don't get all salty because that god-awful MWT exists. Just grab Shadowrun next time it goes on Steam sales or something. Or read the reviews yourself (http://store.steampo...com/app/300550/). That should convince you HBS knows their business.

If you read any of the Battletech lore, it pretty much is Game of Thrones in space (the Clans are the White Walkers):

- Inner-Sphere united under the Star League.

- Struggle for power, the Star League falls apart.

- The leaders of the noble houses vie for the "crown", carving out their own "successor states".

- Com Star is seated on Terra, the heart of the Star League and remains neutral to regulate communication within the Inner Sphere (Maesters?)

- Successor states battle for generations, until an powerful and unknown threat from the north carves a path of destruction through the Inner Sphere.

I have played the first one on a tablet briefly, what I played was great.
