There was a recommendation for improved damage readouts quite a while back, and unfortunately nothing has been changed since then.

I find it very difficult to tell how much damage my 'mech has taken.

There are lots of alternatives, but what I'd like to see most is a greater color gradient. Yellow to orange to red is not a lot of spectrum to deal with making differences difficult to tell, not everyone can discern as many colors. Heck, you you want to go even further for red/green color-blind people, why not shove in some bars to show how much armor is left?

In the image below the left torso is completely shot off. The back toro is red, severely damaged, the externals are also severely damaged. The left leg is damaged and is colored orange. The center torso is slightly damaged and yellow. The rest of the mech is undamaged and green.

Even if I can't make out the colors, there are also bars indicating armor.
