I live in Thailand, and this is a similar result using many different internet connections. To almost every other server in SG i have a 30ms ping.. war thunder, work VPN etc. Something stinks here..

My ping to Oceanic went up from ~210 to >260 after the recent issues with that server were "fixed". This is quite a bit higher than my typical ping of ~240 to North America, which is marginal but tolerable (I treat it like playing on hard mode). Like some others, I'm thinking I'll have to go back to using the NA servers alone. I had hoped Oceanic would settle down again given time, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Since about a week ago my ping to Oceanic from Brisbane has gone from 130ms up to 220ms along with some bad packet loss.

Seriously this is a never ending cycle!

The Oceanic server is a consistently high ping for me these days. (Location: Auckland, New Zealand)

Prior to the Oceanic update; it was a consistently higher ping than N/America (N/America is normally ~208 ping for me) but lower than Europe ( which is normally ~280 ping). Ironically, just before the Oceanic server update/changes the ping dropped to around 150... and now its consistently >300+ ping (and always worse that Europe). Not sure when it changed as I played 7 days to die for a couple of weeks when Alpha 14 dropped. But now i'm back and the Oceanic server is terrible verging on unplayable.

I'm an oceanic player trying to reach the other servers. I don't expect a great ping to EU server but I am getting WORSE to NA, 350+ms! It seemed it came good about a month ago, then went back to this awful ping.

The Oceanic server is hilarious.

Some days I get 170 ping. Others 350

They should of just made a West Coast USA server and everyone from AU would of gotten 180-200 consistently forever due to the pretty damn stable direct underwater link to Los Angeles area.

I second this. Half the time my signal goes from the Philippines to LA to Singapore. European and West Coast is a pretty solid setup.

I didn't get any disconnects but did notice the ping is a lot higher than normal. It was around 180-200ms. I get 200-280ms on American servers and 300+ on European. I normally would get 80-100ms on Oceanic.

I find it rather sad that I get much better pings to the US servers than Oceanic... to US it's consistently around 210ms, to Oceanic it's consistently over 300ms.

I tried to explain it to them when they were originally asking about server locations on Redit and stuff.
Aus and NZ cables north into asia are low capacity and subject to a lot of issues where traffic routes via USA.
Routes within asia region generally unpredictable, frequent cable cuts and weird re-routes.

Should have been a San Jose or Los Angeles server right at the big fat international cables hub heart of the worlds internet.
Kickass pings for west coast USA players, better than asia for Aus and NZ, more consistent for many Asia players.

But...since when has PGI listened to advice?

Pings to Oceanic are a solid 70-80ms. Works just fine until you get players driving 130kph lights from overseas on 300+ ping. Warping all over. You can't hit them, they're invunerable. It's worse at PB range as they literally disappear from right in front of you and ~warp~ behind.

I'm pretty sure a lot of Light pilots are very aware of this and intentional go on high ping servers.

What's the issue with Oceanic?

They seem to have been offline all day and still are at the time of this post!

I can't find any news about this. An update would be appreciated!!!
