Took a break-if you ask why, you haven't played for TWO years.., came back new computer, fresh install windows seven..
and a fresh install of game...and..

Quote

program can't start because msvcr100.dll is missing

cool, reinstall a fresh off MS Visual C++...and it wont let me..says I have a newer version already installed...
so, ran the patcher.. it deleted the cache..ironic, as I haven't been able to play.
I have a 64 bit system, have ticked the 64 bit thing off in top right settings..and boom...

yes, I tried the fecked up search too...as always, the space monkey who programmed the search gives me stuff from 2012 and the worse answers possible.

SO...here I sit, broke hearted
tried to play, but the game farted

you could manually downlaod that .dll and register it via a cmd command. should work too.

well....so, my system has correctly installed this missing DLL, yet the game seems to think it hasn't.
Found, and read a dozen complaints about the same thing, and no fix.
*** it? Really willing to spend my bored money somewhere this weekend

hahahaha

ok, so it WILL run in 'forced 32 bit'

what advantage could this be over my 64bit dx10/dx11 system...that, you know, used to run it before I reinstalled the game?

ffs

Had the same problem after i updated to windows 10 yet it worked on 8.1. I had to update direct x9.0. You can find the installer with a simple google search. Should be run-time direct x 9.0c. Game requires this till you boot up and switch over to direct x 11

I had to uninstall all latest versions and start from scratch with DX9 then the rest and it works fine.
Hope this helps you out.

I appreciate the replies.

The game runs in 32bit....so, I started it up, clicked the force DX11 and it runs (horribly)
anyone else trying to fix it, https://www.raymond....repair-directx/
be warned, completely removing DX may force reinstalling windows.(depending on your version)

well, I'll try a couple more things, but honestly....been here since Jan 2013, and of the 12-15 who started originally...its me who is left...and for reasons ranging from things like this to all the rest you know about if you've been here for any time at all. *sigh*
Pity, the new computer just makes the game look amazing! The dust and crap that rises up from laser damage is pretty incredible.

I'm having the same problem right now. My DirectX is up to date, I'm on Windows 7, and I've tried just about everything.

MSVCP100.dll is a C++ libary DLL. You can download those here:

registering only works in the activeX runtime libraries. If we were to attempt to register the dll we would get something that looks like this: The module was loaded but the entry=point dllregistersrv was not found or something to that effect.

Let me know if this fixes your problem
