Some time around 2004 I started to get back into PC gaming but was mostly playing 1st person shooters like COD, BF2 etc.. In 2012 I saw an online article talking about the closed beta of MWO which jolted my memory about the series and I jumped right in.

Played all the PC games as they came out. Then the fun started got caught up in MPBT online at Genie.
Got recruited by the Minnesota Tribe and played there till they shut down.
In 1990 I heard a commercial about this place called the Battletech Center. When I went there I didn't want to leave.
Got a part time job there in 95 to help feed the addiction then made my way up to General Manager in late 96.
Saddest day was in july of 97 when VWE shut down the sites, but hope wasn't lost they came back at Dave and Busters.
Then another black day came but with a major silver lining. VWE was no longer having the pods at D&B but the pods were up for sale, so a group of us Chicago players bought a set and it's been fun ever since.

Original MW, GEnie's EGA Multiplayer Battletech 3025, AOL/Gamestorm MPBT Solaris (originally slated for SVGA MPBT 3025), EA short lived MPBT 3025, various other PC Battletech games and board games (lots of lead minis get REALLY heavy).
