I haven't read what Davion is yet, but I expect I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Edit:
Yeah I'd say a 20 ton increase did the trick.

"Com(ie) Star" dosn't like 'Marik(a), or were we just guinea pigs for some WOB scheme?

Well if Marik all stars couldn't do it they needed to work on the problems. You might as well start with the best. :)

What would kind of be cool was day events like this would change up tonnage on the 1 planet.
Maybe limit it to 100tons and increase it to 350-400 tons for everyone.

Be fun to see lots of locust or assault drop decks.

Wouldn't mind seeing some varying tonnage events or even some restricted tonnage ones. A light/medium only... assault only slugfest something to add some variety

These transmissions are really cool and make it feel like the lore is being written everyday. It must be a lot of fun writing these transmissions because they are really fun and exciting to read.
Keep up the good work!

It's a good day to defend against "Clan Davion".

I am all in favor of these events. I think they are interesting and fun.

However, is it at all possible that when, let's say the Davions, need to take a planet from, I don't know, the Jade Turkeys, that only the Davions and Turkeys fight over the planet? It doesn't make much sense to have to take a planet from the Falcons only to drop against Wolves.

When a Clan vs IS match happens... the defenders are allowed to get "their faction" to defend it.

So, if you're attacking a Clan Planet (as IS), all 4 Clan factions can be on defense. If you're attacking IS Planet (as Clan), all 6 IS Houses can defend it.

I like this idea, but drop every faction challenge at once. Still no reason for me to play CW, couldnt give a damn if CSJ take a planet. Let me know when its Kurita's turn.

These are fun. However no single IS faction will ever win against all four clans. Even if you gave 400 ton drop decks. We were outnumbered so badly it was sad. And all the truely elite clan 12 mans fought against a majority of Davion pugs. No matter what wins the Davion 12 mans won, pugs would lose it all the next fight.

Going to need a different setup when fighting across faction.

(OR, you can remove the combined force defense)

CW's mechanic is vastly biased in favor of the group that can field the highest proportion of elite teams, particularly on defense. Four high level 12-man teams can stop any offensive.

I'm fine with loosing frequently, but when it's a long wait for a drubbing that returns very low cbills, I'm just not into it, and won't be into CW until we find a resolution that better balances the games so that low and mid-level players can have a chance at the occasional victory.

This calls more and more for 10 Cclan vs 12 IS.

I salute the effort. But daym, the balance is still off.

Had some close games against Lord, SWOL, RA and a few other units and although some were very pug and others were not, the clans still trumped.

IDK how/why clanners complain they are not OP/need nerfs removed. Seriously. Even with +10 tonnage and its far from victory.. ..but that might be more endemic to the way population structure fits in. Either way, fun rounds. Not doing enough to encourage CW though.

today we had the best jag Units of the world in attack and we got 15% max.

its super stupid against 260t and a def. Position.
And what is the IS doing?
different mechs??

4x Thunderbolt is the answer.....

pgi if you want Balance listen:
1 Light, 1 Medium, 1 Heavy, 1 Assault for everyone in CW Drop.
And fine.

Its really funny reading all this.
Clanners are complaining about the 20 ton increase that it was too unbalanced and they couldn't capture the planet.
The Inner Sphere is saying 20 tons didn't help that Davion couldn't capture a planet.

But even with all the whine these have been the most fun and closest matches I've had in CW since Tukayyid so I welcome these challenges. And the tonnage change was the one really sweet thing that came from this event because there were attack teams from Steiner, Kurtia, FRR, and Davion all hitting clan worlds! Its made playing clan really lively specially if you're not Jade Falcon or Wolf taking Inner Sphere worlds every day.
Fun event keep it up.

It´s balanced fine in my eyes...
The Problem still is that Pugs don´t coordinate well!

just my 2 cents

Very true, it's never about which faction can win more it's about which can lose less.
