Nice...been wanting an EBJ (or 3). Only problem is that all my wave 1 Clan mechs sit dusty already. Not sure if I've ever driven an Adder yet...

Sweet, the best thing about buying Clan mechs is not having to worry about adding upgrades or engine swaps into the price.

I'd argue it depends what you want to do.

TBR has the better "snap shots" with it's lower arm actuators but the EBJ can be the better hill humper.

I personally like to use the 2 CLPL, 1 CERML, and 1 CGauss build, all in the high mounts.

Ehhhh there are certain maps and situations that the Timber Wolf will fare better in. It also has better hit boxes.

I'm going to try out an A variant with 2 ERLL, 1 UAC20 and 2 MPL.

All the TBR meta builds, but without JJ's and running cooler.

Then it can do the TBR meta builds on steroids. I've been running Guass + 6 ERML and it feels like cheating.

EBJ-B comes with the stock omni pods to make the 2LPL-4ML build without changing any of them.
EBJ-A requires 1 omni pod change to make the gauss-6ML laser build. Will do 5 without changing.

The other 2 require multiple omnipod changes unless you want to run a ballistic-missle build on the C.

Torso turn rate on the Jaguar is slower than the timber as well, and has wider arms.

EBJ is your go-to mech for CW, TImberwolf moreover for solo if you want mobility.

I can say that the EBJ has it's goods and bads, like the Hellbringer, which, in it's case, has only 24 tons to work with, average armor (65 tonner armor, kind of soft), but has a good torso turn rate and radius, along with ECM and good hardpoints.

Kind of hard for the ballistic-missile build. I couldn't find a good balance with it, so I ran 2mgs, 3 Streak 18 and swaped one missile ST pod for the 3E hardpoint, so that I could take a large and 2 mediums for backup weapons with the MGs.
