Com Star Interstellar News bulletin:

'Accidental loss for Capella and planet mourns.'

It is with regret to inform everyone that today, approximately 11:14PM (AEDT), that Leif Tanner, also known as 'Moat', was killed in a training exercise whilst performing a number of live maneuvour actions in his CN9-AL Centurion, Relena.
Whilst taking down the first lance of training targets in Forest Colony, a freak avalanche caused by a mis-launched salvo of LRMs breached his armour and set off an internal ammunition explosion that completely buried the 'Mech.
Rescure teams were quick on the scene, however, because of the amount of forest cover and debris covering Relena, any hopes of even finding a body will be near impossible to bring home.

Creating the Boardwalk Defenders (Bwd) and aimed at defense of his Home World of Boardwalk, a mere two jumps to Marik space, in the Capellan Confederation, Leif joined the ranks of House Liao MechWarriors, becoming skilled in the use of medium-class 'Mechs. Through his past achievements, he never earned his citizenship into House Liao, however he was satified in his career to achieve the role of Force Leader.
Leif was also a vocal activist for a permanent alliance with House Marik and House Steiner, to drive the Davion barbarians out of Liao space once and for all and help defend the citzizens of any Marik and Steiner World that required it.

The Boardwalk Defenders have been disbanded in rirle only, not in reality out of respect and a statue of his totem 'Mech, the Hunchaback-4J (affectionately known as 'Harumi;) is being planned for the Haydock inlet.
