I feel like I need to go to their forums, and make OP's thread.
So far it's like a choose-your-own-adventure story, more so than a "game." (subjective, I know).

Yeah and the second to last I'm not sure about. Hahaha. Your revenue is down. MY revenue is down?
What happened? Computer virus? Tee hee. The one prior to that where the guy jumps over the desk and pounds the man--that's my favorite.

I made a sexy blonde named Pyopni Grobabya.
And I’m really jealous of her house layout. It’s more relaxing than my own.

XCOM is not a relaxing game its good but definitely not calming
I was going to say the same thing lol. XCOM is definitely one of the best games I've ever played, but it also has the potential to get me foaming at the mouth and screaming at the screen. It's challenging and relentless, and can punish you quite viciously. The AI is absolutely mean in that game. It probably doesn't help that it exploits LoS glitches on occasion as well.
I know, it almost seems like I'm trashing it, but even with its flaws, one of the best games ever. Easily. You get invested in your squad and the game, and it sucks you in, so when things go wrong, and quite often they do, you'll understand the frustration. But if you're anything like me, you'll keep coming back for more. If it was a bad game, that wouldn't happen.
Personally, I find the Total War games more relaxing. They aren't quite as sand box or detailed as Paradox style games, but you control the battles instead of having abstract resolution. And I love the ship battles in Empire TW and Napoleon.
You could also try Borderlands, they're different. FPS RPGish type things. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are good, Skyrim is good. Those last 3 are immersive and relaxing, but extremely time consuming.

I logoff and start playing one of my break games before I get to that point, or go do something else. Something I think several players could stand to learn from. They play way past that point and get to that zone where cussing on the chat channels and/or mic seems like a good thing to do. It never is though.

WARHAMMER 40k: SPACE MARINE

It's not terribly complicated, and it's got tons of violence to help you work off your anger. Nothing like carving a Ork in half from neck to crotch with a power sword to make you feel better.

if you want twitch you should go for ultra street fighter 4.
it also keeps my mind sharp to play other types of game
zelda dx on GBC and if you finish that (doubt it) you can go for the oracles of ages/seasons
starcraft and age of empires 2;
neverwinter nights (the 2001 one)
pc gaming classics and obscure pc gaming masterpieces like:
terra nova strike force centauri (1996)
wing commander 3
deadline (psygnosis - 1996)
stryfe
jedi knight (1997)
arx fatalis (1999)
sub-culture (1997)
oh and a good racing game. i love em all, from grid and dirt to need for speed to gran turismo
open transport tycoon deluxe - great game to wind down and take it easy but dont go online you will get wrecked by russians their transport companies will put you out of business fast
oold pc western rpgs like:
might and magic (the original trilogy)
daggerfall
(btw, daggerfall > skyrim)
one of my favorite games is bethesda's "call of cthulhu". just masterful from beginning to end
it's what bioshock would be like if it was any good or actually scary.
i also love quake1 and 2 esp. with all the mods and updated graphics and stuff
on that note the game rage is quite decent i thought; the multiplayer is the only thing on it that really sucks

The game is a space exploration and resource gathering game, you have your main ship which you upgrade over time, and can get ships from other races, up to eight if I remember correctly, to fly around with you and help fight. Battles are one on one with a top down view, and each races ships have different main and secondary weapons, from long range homing missiles and point defense lasers to short range auto target lasers and teleporting. Resource gathering is done primarily by sending a lander down to a planet and running over different colored orbs that represent various materials while avoiding natural dangers, like streams of fire or quakes that can rip you apart. Planets may also have wildlife that can be stunned and studied. The data can then be sold to certain merchants for extra fuel, information, and tech upgrades.
My explanation is probably a bit dry, but the game is really worth checking out, and it's free.
