You see, when MWO goes on Steam current accounts should be reset, skills, XP and money back to 0.
Our owned mechs should still be ours, as if we just bought them.
Understand that any items bought with MC will be untouched.

How do you feel about this?
Are there anything you feel should be reset or not?
Very many tears will be dropped for this, but I feel it is just.
Everyone of us with experience can certainly get our skills/money back faster than the new guys anyway.

Beginning new like this may just make you look at the game differently.
Even make you enjoy it more with a new perspective on things.
Earnings might be better after Steam, so it might not be too bad.
No, I think this will be good, getting everyone back at the starting line again.

This seems a good idea as there will be many new players coming.
Really, it's only fair for everyone to start from the beginning when the game is released out of beta stage.
Only the really stubborn will have anything against this.
Look, if you think about it it makes sense as I explained above.
Leave your pride behind and look at it from the new guys view.
Everyone will profit from this, in a gameplay sense.
Deny it if you must.

Where do you get this information? I'm not keeping up with all the mwo news but I have hard time believing that would happen.

Seriously it is a bad idea. Should PGI do this, I will quit the game.

You're not alone.
Resetting stats would make me quit playing.

You claim you want "fair" for the new steamtards but what you propose is not "fair" to anyone. let alone new players.

Loosing skills, XP, and c-bills is NOT fair to everyone playing.
Keeping all our mechs is NOT fair to new players.

IF you actually wanted "fair" you would want everyone to loose everything they have picked up to date, including all mechs not paid real world cash for, and it would still be unfair to new players.

Your "fair" is nothing close to "fair"

So, why don't you lead us all by example? Delete your account. You know, to be "fair" to new players.

You first.

No?

That's ok, it is what we thought anyways, all BS.

No, but making all mechs equal in the beginning would make it less like masochism for the new guys.

Ye, i would love to level all my mechs again. Or i would just play something else...

EDIT: And resetting a mech does not make a player/team play worse and even the odds for beginners.

All the game stuff is only fantasy stuff anyway, nothing to lose really.
Keeping the mechs is fair as we don't lose everything but at the same time don't have a massive advantage in mech skill and equipment as well as being better at the game.

Making all mechs equal is not the game we signed up to play.

If that is what you want for you and your new steamtard friends, you can take them right to Hawkken.

That game is already ruined by making things "fair" and making all mechs equal. Go help that game instead of trying to ruin this one.

Even if they make so that basicing, eliting and mastering a mech is a rewardable achievement?
How about some C-bills, cockpit itens and consumables when you level the mech? With all your mechs already levelled you'd lose out!

Even then. PGI by all means should gift those rewards to people who had already done it--like the cadet bonus achievements. I should be rewarded without additional hassle for playing this game for 3 years and leveling all those mechs. Unlike newbies who had done nothing to support PGI.

Won't make any difference anyways, not going to happen.

Well, since you want "fair" for new players, why don't you put your money where your mouth is? Show us how committed you are to this cause of yours? Lead by example. Delete your account as a commitment to your cause on behalf of new players from steam and prove to everyone you are serious.

If your not willing to take the step and throw everything away you have played to get thus far but expect everyone else to do it, you are crazy.

Show us how serious you are, delete it. Until you do all we will see is you saying " do as I say, not as I do".

As I said above, what difference will it make for me to do it alone? None.

Unless you are volunteering to level my 250whatever mechs back to mastered status, you can take this idea and **** off with it ;)

When I started playing this game back in October 2012, I could only count with those 10 million from Cadet Bonus and 4 mechbays, nothing else. If I wanted more mechbays I'd have to pay for that. If I wanted to learn to play I'd have to tap the Play Now button and go figure it out by my own against skilled players and upgraded mechs, since there was no tutorial. Also, trial mechs sucked at that time.

Now new players got that juicy Tutorial - which rewards extra 5 Million. They can grind mechbays for free on CW or by the (now common) weekend events. Trial mechs are not THAT bad. Now we have PSR to balance skills a bit.

New player experience might not be perfect yet, but it's waaaaaaay better... and you want to reset old accounts? C'mon...
