I personally loved the Jagermech on the Tabletop game, even if I ran out of ammo extremely quickly, and I love the way the new Jagermech looks.
While I appreciated the old Jagermech, it really just looked like an unoriginal cross between an Urbie and a Rifleman.

Now keep in mind that this thread was meant purely to look at the good and bad sides of a Jager,
and I don't want this turning into an argument based on personal opinions.

Remeber, Facts= Good, Opinions = Bad.

I am seriously considering picking one up, the potential it has is pretty high up there, quad ultra-5's or paired LL/LB-10x is kinda nice.

The Jagermech was always a favorite of mine in lance actions - it's ability to wear down larger mechs in a crossfire was pretty nice. I defintly would want one, although I don't know if it would be my primary mech.

I am considering getting a Jagermech when they become available. The idea of being able to go dakka dakka for extended periods of time fills me with glee.

Plus, its the Urban mech we deserve, but not the one we need.

I'd get one just to prove anyone wrong who think's low caliber autocannons will suck

I'd love to just sit back in some trees, behind a partial cover or something, passive radar, and just pelt away at the enemy while my brawler teammates distract them...

I'm certainly looking into one. Already have a Catapult on the roster for indirect fire, and a JagerMech would be a fantastic option for direct fire support, esecially with the modifications I plan to use. It's not a terrible 'Mech in it's standard config if managed properly, but with the MechLab and 4 ballistic mounts...oh the possibilities.

I never considered the possiblity of that, would really remove the indirect LRM boats from taking the under armored fire support out of the battle.... hmmm....

Can I slap a couple of jumpjets onto it, perch at the top of the highest city tower in the ice city map and plink at heads in a 3 mile radius? If the answer is yes, then it'll have a place of honor in my garage.

yeah, LRM fire support is nice, but your LRMs cant track if you are running passive radar... (at least in previous MW games).. Small caliber autocannons however... don't need radar :P
