I already own the Huggin, Ember, X-5, and Misery.
What is the next hero or champion that is worth its weight in 50% MC and why?

Personally next I'm going for the Oxide and Arrow. The blackjack looks like a really solid chassis and the Arrow will let me have fun with 6MG builds. The Oxide is just because it's a Jenner, and that SRMs look like they're going to become a lot better when the PTS goes live. It's a very unique mech

gonna pick up Dragon slayer (it is going to be un-F*ed after the rebalance it seems), and Grid Iron, maybe Oxide... or firebrand

I have the Loyalty CN9-AH with an AC20 and 3xSRM4. I took it for a run last night and I have to say I've gotten terrible at aiming... So embarrassing

Firebrand can hold two Gauss
Grid Iron has great Gauss quirks so it might be nerfed harder in the future.

Firebrand, not a must have, but definitely a good Hero heavy.
I own a BJack-Arrow, its nice.
ShadowHawk-GreyDeath will be nice after the next balance pass.
Ilya-MM, not a must have, but decent heavy.

The 4P doesn't have the Wang's lovely AC20 quirks.
The Huginn is a lot of fun, but it'll get nerfed back to irrelevance after the balance pass.

Ilya, Dragon Flame and Fang, and BJ-Arrow get the most play of my Hero mechs.
Don't have a Misery but if I was a Stalker guy I certainly would buy one. Me? I prefer mechs with guns on the arms.

I have ENF-4P already. While it may not have the YLW AC20 quirks, it can carry an additional 2 ML. I am not sold on YLW because it is easily recognizable and that right arm goes quick
What about Jester? With the catapult fix(?) is it going to be good post balance?

It's a great mech but I prefer the Wang, the 4P doesnt have the luxury of the great shield arm and really tanky cross-section (lots of gaps in the wang for people to miss you). I have survived things the the wang that no other mech could.
And, the build in the wang is 2 MPL and the AC20, it is a surgeon.

Ilya is really good if you can make the Cataphract platform work for you. I can't... I die far too quickly for it to be viable.

FUN TO THE MAX

Decked out with 2 large pulse and 4 medium lasers it puts out some solid damage. Strangely it also seems tankier than my other Griffins.

Firebrand is good, it's pretty even with regular Jeager variants.
Gray Death is gonna get a nice buff as well.

Afterwards it gets harder... I'mma thinking a triple uac5 Muromets myself. Yes, I know it doesn't have great poking hardpoints, but poking is not what uac 5 builds do best.

The Ilya with triple UAC5 and triple Medium Lasers is pretty simple to get used to, the Firebrand can do a few good mixes of weaponry and I tend to run triple Large Pulse and a Gauss rifle on the H-M.
*Edit* (I forgot about these)
The Grid Iron, Protector and Dragon Slayer are also pretty solid 'Mechs and can fit various roles and loadouts but I'm unsure what the Quirk changes will do to them as I have not been keeping up with it.
I wouldn't say any of them are "top tier" but they can be fun and effective if given the chance, plus the obvious CBill benefit to using them makes it a worthwhile effort.

Love them all with the exception of the Death Knell and IV Four. Being a medium missile guy the Golden Boy would probably be my favorite for scoring. But for pure nostalgia the St Ives Blue is the ride for me.
Pick the chassis you like the most and just buy that hero?
