I have been playing a lot of MWO recently and noticed that my gpu fan seemed to be going full blast after a few minutes of play. I checked the temp in MSI afterburner and the card (an EVGA Nvidia GeForce 760 ) was getting to 88-92°C depending on the length of play. The threshold for the card is 97°C. I am only getting to about 80-82°C when playing games like Fallout 4. (id give more examples but i only have MWO, Fallout 4, FTL, and H1Z1 installed atm). I've cleaned the card, checked to make sure the case was not restricting air flow, all case fans are running, changed the fan profile to go to 100% at 80°C, etc. I use MSI Afterburner to monitor the temp and just recently installed HWMonitor as well. Both are showing a huge spike in temp when playing MWO and normally expected temps for everything else. Any ideas?

Here are my specs. Again, i'm gonna replace the card soon, just want to make sure it lasts until i can afford too.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k
MOBO: MSI Z170A
GPU: EVGA GTX 760
PSU: EVGA NEX750B
RAM:16G CORSAIR Vengeance DDR4

How is airflow in the case?

MWO hits systems harder than the more optimized games.

Can you use your cellphone to take a pic of how your computer looks?

Edit:

Example, though mine is a little dusty, it has lots of room for the parts to breath, and the air is pulled through my case crossflow.

Humor me and spend the evening playing with the side of the case off, let us know how the temps are.

@Mors Draco: Try turning on V-Sync in the graphics options as that will limit your GPU's frames per second which should help reducing the heat your GPU is creating.

Was going to say that the CPU cooler is definitely filled up. And set FPS limiter so that FPS does not yo-yo from one extreme to another.

Orderly cable management anyone? lol j/k :P

When was the last time you cleaned the GPU? Or the computer in general?

Do you smoke in the house or near the computer?

Animals?

What kinda temps is the mother board getting to when you play?

I blew the computer out, again, and there was hardly any dust in it so the picture deceiving. I took the card out, and cleaned it again as well. The computer is barely 2 weeks old so i didn't get clogged with dust in that short of time..

Playing with the side of the case off didn't seem to change the temperature at all; however, putting v-sync on did. It never got above 75 degrees with V-sync on.

[looks at photo again]

Which way does the fan on the radiator blow?

Do you have an intake fan up front? Could you ID it, push-comes-to-shove?
