My next mech I'm going to buy and build is the k2 cat.
I just can't decide what type of build to run.
Been playing around in smurfy trying to come up with something that's both fun and viable.
I've come up with a few designs as a starting point. (They are all work in progress atm.)

I was hoping I could get some advice on which of these would work and which would be fun. Plus some suggestions for improvements of the builds.

(NOTE: Any ammo in the legs is just a smurfy thing because I find it easier to chuck the ammo in the legs instead of in the crowded torso or arms when balancing the weight. Please prove that you've read this post by NOT commenting on it.)

The first build is a varaint of the standard gauss-cat.

CPLT-K2 2xguass

The second is a more brawler/DPS variant with 2 UAC/5s.

CPLT-K2 DPS

The is my Firebreather. It seems awesome and crazy fun on paper but will probably suck, doing crappy damage.

CPLT-K2 Firebreather

The fourth is a variant on the Firebreather that replaces the flamers with mpls. Not as cool put probably more effective.

CPLT-K2 Lazorbreather

I know that provided the ammo last and you can hit with the gausscannon that the gauss-cat is far superior that the others.

Yet I kind of like the PPC versions because they are faster, cheaper and takes advantage of the high arms on the K2.

Hmm... I had not heard about any hitbox changes... That's bad since XL friendly was a big plus for the Catapult.

I know that they gonna rewamp quirks and stuff soon. But I have no idea how since I build and play what I find fun and never bother if the quirks fits... At my skill level a +/-10% quirk is barely noticeable...

But maybe I should just use stock to basic the K2 and wait until the revamp have happen to invest c-bills in a build.
After all I mainly using it to elite my Ctpl-c1

Well it´s not the most effective build but I enjoyed the 4 lpl k2.
If you play CW i´m pretty happy with an Erppc+2 Ppc build but others prefer 1gauss+2ppc.

I've been running the K2 as a Marauder 3R tester. 2xPPC, uAC/5 with 2 tons ammo, 2xML, STD260. It's an interesting build. Catapults in general are more fragile than usual right now because of the ginormous side torsos. They'll dial that back on 12/1.

Really like this as an unusual (and unexpected) Brawler:

AC20 (cooldown lvl 5) + 4MPL (range lvl 5)

Alternate: poke quick using the high arm mounts

2LPL (cooldown lvl 5) + 2MPL (range lvl 5)
