I did MUCH better than someone that used only one less mech and he showed up above my name with higher match score (I had 700 more damage and 4 more kills). Please explain the reasoning.

Match score should not be increased at such a great amount because you use less mechs in CW. It encourages passive play and I don't see the reasoning behind this.

You didn't specify out of how many mechs. That 1 mech made the big difference because I am sure the Match Score Is reduced when you die in CW. It's not a small penalty when you die. I had people in my match have 600+ damage over me and I got a 894 Match Score (Top MC/No Death). I had 200+ Match score over everyone because they died at least once. Every game has a passive aspect/approach.
