Gauss Rip

I don't really think gauss was imbalanced before the patch. It has loading time, it explodes almost all the time when damaged, it's pretty heavy and its ammo is heavy as well. Oh, and it had comparatively small DPS. But now...
With this nerf you actually killed this weapon. So RIP lovely gauss.

It also has Ballistic Cooldown +10%.
This is so hilarious.
PGI's favorite technique = copy&paste
PGI's least favorite technique = proofreading
The two go together very well.

We can rename the game to SSSSSSSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW mechs...
In case you do not get it the sarcasm is meant to say why the heck did you make this one of the longest reloading weapons. I mean the current damage per second.... 3

Nevermind that each one is an easily triggered bomb. I think I've had a gauss *not* explode, like, twice.
Clearly OP.

However, IT SHOULD NOT be in the game until the Gauss bug has been fixed!
Basically. Take 2 Gauss in left hand, 2 in right hand. Someone destroys one Gauss in each hand. Try to group-fire the rest 2. They will just chain-fire instead... I reported this bug in 2014.

That, or look at dialing back the nerf a little bit. Maybe 4.75 + .75 instead of 5.5 + .75.

Before you could lead the target and shoot the gauss.
Re-aim to shoot lasers at the enemy.
Chare as you re-aim to lead the enemy to shoot the gauss.
Re-aim to fire the lasers.
etc
The recharge being so long now that your lasers come back up while you're leading the enemy the second time around. It makes the dynamic of the gauss so clunky and awkward now.
I mean MORE awkward that it already was having to charge.

So much this ^ But I'll also add if the GR is going to have such a long cool down then the charge should be removed. Extra long cool down or charge up, one or the other! my poor shadow Cat prime hurts so bad....

Why not buff ac10 and ac20s?
1) increase projectile speed
2) remove projectile drop
3) reduce heat on ac10 and 20s by 1-2 heat per shot
4) increase ammo per ton -- atlases eat ammo
