I have been curious about this matter so I finally got around to asking.

Is there a master listing somewhere that is updated and states all the faction names and tags for IS and Clan?

I so wish there was a list based on data available from the game. Bonus if units had their websites in the listing and maybe a short description. But there is so much else PGI needs to work on. What would be nice is if there was a website people agreed on to register their units. Many still wouldn't, but at least the bigger ones probably would. I note that many units use enjin.com to host their websites and enjinvoice.com for their teamspeak. I don't know that there is a way to list them through that and I think they probably have other games' units on their sites.
