For new players coming in from steam you might be lost as to what everyone is talking about.
This game has a learning curve partly because it is a fully developed Universe that has existed for decades with boards games, pc games, novels and more.

Best stop for this is http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Main_Page, all things BT. There are a lot more mechs that exist than are in MWO.

And here is a visual history treat though it might cause a debate on which BT pc game was the best, here is a mission from my favorite.

My introduction to Battletech: Multiplayer Online Battletech (EGA).

http://massivelyop.c...yer-battletech/

I was Kurita then. And to this day the Combine commands my sympathies like no other faction. The community was tremendous. I hope we evolve one like it.

The blue mech in the screenshot is a Phoenix Hawk.

For those wanting a basic lore history of the most basic "who" (factions) and "why", these videos are for you.

Inner Sphere, why it is fighting itself.

Clans, who are they and why are they invading?

Good luck!

I still have my VW card and pilots manual.
The 2nd pic is of the Tesla II pods. They were PC based and largely the same as Mechwarrior 4.

Yea, However I brought a pic of the tesla pods as these are an example of how 'popular' it is. I mean you may possibly expect 1 or 2 on the corner of a restaurant or what ever but showing this picture shows that it isn't a side niche thing you picked up becuase it was cheap as no one else wanted it, it's a very popular thing at the time that you built places around and not vice versa. ^^

Any chance I could get you to scan said card and any lore-based and control info from the pilot's manual? I'd super appreciate it. Posted Image

Lil bump to avoid the falling off the bottom.

Great post guys keep it coming. More on the PODS would be great, I would have had to install indoor plumbing if I had found one of those. I loved going to the arcade for that type of thing, can't remember the name but I wasted so much of my parents money playing a Helicopter sym we could have put a small country thru college.

Edit: Mechwarrior the Movie. Fan made.

I'd be more than happy to, if you can be a little patient.

They are in storage out of state. However, I will have access to them in about a week and a half or so.

If I don't update here feel free to PM me to remind me
