Hi there,

since we are currently busy fighting the Fed Suns, I thought to seek for a little more "Marik identity" on the battlefield. I looked up a typical "Marik Dropdeck" with a little help from my Mechwarrior 3050:RPG book and came up with the following deck that fit into MWO (CW tonnage limit being 265 tons).
  • Stalker (or Battlemaster)
  • Orion
  • Spider
  • Grashopper

So, what are your fav Marik-Mech-Dropdecks? Do you have any? Are there some typical FWL-Mechs that are still missing in MWO and that just must be in game?

Let's hear your suggestions!

Edit: Okay, there was a thread a year ago, that asked for Marik dropdecks - but we have so much more options and Mechs now ;)

That sounds great. I personally use two Stalkers and two Blackjacks. Despite the Blackjack is used mostly by the Davions, I cannot resist the high mounts. :P

Warchild, my current Dropdeck is as follows:

BLR 1S (4ERLL 10LRM)
ON1-VA -The Pain Train- (ALRM40)
GHR (4ERLL)
PNT 10K (1ERLL 10LRMs)

The alternative is:
ON1- VA (2ML & ALRM40s)
ON1- K (4ERLL & 10LRMs)
ON1- M (3LL & 20LRMs)
PNT- 10K (1ERLL or 2MPL w/ 10LRMs)

I have a few other prepared decks to mix and match, plus I want to put together a LRMisher deck with something special as well.

FIRE ZEE MISSILES!

*stops scouring AC barrel*
- Hey, armourer, could ya order twice more rounds for AMS next time?
*continues scouring teh barrel*

By the way, one or two lurmboat per wave are ok cause they can shoot over the first line of pushers. That is good cause that adds some firepower, the situations when the whole team is able to engage direct firefight are kinda rare.
But FWL pugs on trial catapults make me cry.

To be fair trial catapults isn't just a Marik thing. I'm seeing them everywhere.

With regards to Marik Mechs. For some insane reason quickdraws are in the tier 1 category on metamdchs. Seems strange to me but I'm looking forward to my week off to test this out. Quickdraws are a traditional Marik mech.

My God the only faction I have not seen it in is the FRR and DC. Everywhere else, especially the Clans, are choosing open maps so their newbie pilots can make it rain LRMS so we need to get at the LRM boats. Once the LRM boats are targeted at close range they crumble, unless they're Clan LRMS, then they put up somewhat of a fight. It's insane I tell you.

Of the MWO mechs, the most "Marik" are: Awesome, Stalker, Orion, Quickdraw, Cicada, Trebuchet, Hunchback, Wolverine, Spider and Locust.

Stalkers are great for CW.

Pro-tip: In Liao we have a relatively simply drop deck composition.

48 Atlases.

The primary objective of this drop deck is to maximise scouting ability. As such we use the first 12 to scout, the second 12 to scout, the third 12 to scout and the final 12 as a scouting wave just in case we haven't *spotted* any remaining Marik mechs.

Tsen Shang will be pleased. I have found the House Steiner spy in our ranks.
