The Outfit
The 13th Oriente Hussars are active and looking for pilots in all time zones! Please check us out at our site for details.
We're a casual, laid-back group looking for new pilots, groups of IRL friends, and all those who want the pride and camaraderie of a unit without time commitments or skill expectations. We don't care if you have been playing for 30 years or if you have never even heard of battletech, as long as you want to have fun you are welcome with us! Feel free to message me or any of the other command staff if you have any questions and we will be happy to help!
The Gameplay
13th Oriente Hussars proudly belong to the Free Worlds League, a consortium of House Marik units that operate within the greater MechWarrior Online universe. The 13th specifically welcomes MechWarriors who want the pride and colors of a House Marik unit, but cannot guarantee the time required of more demanding, regimented outfits. The Hussars offer casual players a home where they can enjoy other MechWarriors' camaraderie without feeling any pressure to play at a certain level or for a certain amount of time. Hussars generally fight when they want and when they can-no questions asked!
All that being said, we do strive to offer organization and structure for those players who want to invest greater time in the service of the 13th and House Marik.
In battle, the 13th operates by a few simple principles: cohesion, coordination, and communication. Hussars work together, calling targets and coordinating their fire on enemy 'Mechs. Communication and teamwork are the hallmarks of victory. We can be found in our teamspeak server (found on our website) most nights but we try to coordinate some big drops at the weekends to give members a chance to gain experience fighting alongside each other and generally kick back and relax.
We also pride ourselves on our willingness to take in new guys and show them the ropes, and with a few of our pilots being veritable experts in their chosen field, be is scouting, brawling or taking a damn Oxide or pirates bane and doing 1000 damage (and we are fortunate enough to have two members with that particular skill.)

Colonel Joshua McEvedy - Commanding Officer and liaison with the Free Worlds League
Major Tristan "The Disgruntled"- Executive Officer, Chief of Recruitment and EU operations.
Captain Stuh42l - Veteran member and administrator.
Lieutenant Clkramer - Moderator and owner of our Arma 3 server.
Recruitment
The 13th Oriente Hussars are currently accepting pilots specializing in all weight classes and we invite any and all MechWarriors to apply to the Hussars. If you are into creating "drama" or looking for a hardcore, ultra-competitive outfit, go elsewhere. If you are looking for a community of open-minded and enthusiastic MechWarriors who wish to grow in skill and experience, then we are your unit. Feel free to message any of the afore mentioned command staff if you require help or would like to ask any questions, we are happy to help and should be able to respond quickly depending on the timezone.
