Title says it all. Why have you chosen to fly the Fed Suns banner?

For me, I became a Davion waiting for the old InnerSphere 3028 project to materialize. At first the choice was rather shallow. The faction color was a forest green. But as I learned more about the faction I came to love an appreciate it.

I now choose Fed Suns because they are a (comparatively) fair, just and open society, still embracing the old world (current day) liberal ideals of personal freedom, rights, and democratic process. The Royal family did not have supreme power, and the people still had a voice. Better yet, while allowing freedom, the government was still strong enough to maintain unity and order and stability with strong and efficient military forces, unencumbered by the silliness of the DC honor codes, or the Incompetence of CC, or FWL.

It seemed like the place in the IS that I would most like to live.

granted, I have not maintained my BT lore over the years, so some refreshers are an order Posted Image

Not to get too political on you, but personal freedom, rights, and the democratic process supported by a strong military are very conservative ideals.

I think "liberal" is being used in the philosophical sense, as in Western Liberalism, not the political left/right divide. In that sense, the LC, FWL, FS, MoC, TC and OWA are Liberal nations.

I only "choose" house Davion for now because they pay me the most. They also put up with my drunken rambling.

Not knowing much about the back story - I thought I remembered 'something' about a 'wolf Clan' in a previous Mech computer game, and so I looked for that, not seeing a 'wolf clan', I did a little 'internet research' and found that House Davion fit my 'philosophy' the best when compared to the other houses we could choose from.

And yet I haven't read about the spurs...
I mean, how cool are they. Not Bow-tie cool, but the bur-less spurs are cool.

I started playing BT as Clan Jade Falcon (while I was in high school). Once I joined the Army, and got to my first duty station, I played with a group of guys who were deep cover agents for Davion on Solaris. Had lots of fun with those guys.

I choose Davion in the beginning (literally as I started in 1985-6) and appreciated the mostly fair and benevolent rulership they represent. Not always honorable but always noble, mostly, and the balanced forces & steady leadership were cool too. Lastly, NAIS (New Avalon Institute) Graduate!!!

The symbol is cool...

LOL.

I loved how they were portrayed in the early game and I have been a fan since.

Probably why I love the original Wolf Clan as well.

I'm siding with Davion because of my experiences with MW3/4 and MC1/2. In those games, Davion come across as the "good" guys, Steiner seem to be "evil", Liao quickly became an enemy, and I'm not familiar with the other three factions.

So, yeah ... go Davion, etc.

Honourable personalities combined with tragic loss - I can't help but sympathize. Plus, going from memory but think they're the only house that dealt effectively with the clans before the Trial of Refusal. In the time period relevant to MWO, the FedSuns is a positive move towards re-construction of the Star League.

You know, I had Justin Allard set up my account for me, but sadly the poor guy doesn't type so well anymore. I kinda like the new spelling. Isn't it what all the hip kids are doing nowadays?

Never could stomach much of the factions. Everyone seems more corrupted. So with Davion I make my stand.

I can't remember why I picked House Davion originally, but I'm loyal to my cause and since I took up the banner years ago, I'm staying with it now.
