Can you give a breakdown/explanation of the 3/3/3/3 600 tons 4/4/2/2 ??

Also, how does one get PGI to announce an exhibition? Do you have to know someone? Do you have to email someone? Can you give those who are not in the know a clue?

In competitive matches, we typically see two kinds of restrictions on mech choice. Class restriction, such as "3/3/3/3" which means 3 lights, 3 mediums, 3 heavies, 3 assaults, and weight restrictions, such as "600 tons" which means that the total tonnage of all mechs used by the team must not exceed 600 tons (an average of 50tons per person in a 12-man team). Some leagues add further restrictions that we didn't see in this exhibition, like you're only allowed so many clan mechs or you're not allowed duplicate chassis (such as two Firestarters, but you're allowed a Firestarter and an Arctic Cheetah).

Basically, 228 and SJR decided to have a scrim during the off-season and BanditB17 being the proactive shoutcaster that he is decided to broadcast the scrim and call it an "Exhibition Series". He let PGI know that it was happening and if they were interested in publicising it, and they did. After the first series, 228 approached ISEN and NS and said "Hey, you guys had a super close and really exciting match at the end of MRBC, how do you feel about a publicised scrim/rematch?" ... And so it was. =]

Damn those were some great matches to watch.

If only I hadn't been working it would have been great fun to be involved.

Great Work Banditb17 and MDMzero0 as always. You guys are starting to show the polish in your casts that comes with experience, even covering the technical difficulties well.
Your insights into tactics and map position are great when analyzing post match to see where to improve.
I remember watching Siriothrax and Haree78 (??) doing post match overviews of early RHOD, then the greatness of the War Room, & what you guys can do now with the overlays and quick action replays from a second perspective show just how far you've come since those good old days.
Combine that with your ability to comment on plays and strats based on your own comp experience and that eye in the sky gives you a Great package.

Just done with the youtube versions.

Neat show that was very interesting to watch. Especially seeing the very different way the teams went about it compared to last time.

One minor feedback: It bugged me that the Team-Score was covering up the cap points status last time and the cap score this time.

Maybe the bottom of the screen would be a better place for it to live if that's possible.

Looking forward to next time!

I'll bring this up with Bandit, thanks for the feedback. We're doing it again tonight!

Thank you very very much for the explanation!! This needs to be copied and pasted somewhere so that everyone can see/read it and get an understanding of what you guys are doing.
