The tutorial is a good start, but there are two things that desperately need to be added to it.
1. A section where it teaches people not only how to use the Minimap, but shows them that it exists so they will actually use it in game. maybe by having targets only show up on the minimap and nothing on the hud..encourage people to actually look at the minimap every so often.
2. A tutorial based solely on shooting down UAVs. Especially helpful for the 'leet snipers who are 500m behind the lines to use. Teach them what to look for and reward them for actually shooting them down instead of ignoring them and letting the enemy not only rain LRMs, but know where the entire friendly team is and what their movements are.
I know both of those skills are lostech in today's MWO, but it could go a long way towards bring them back and making them valid skills again.

Could we add a tutorial on locking targets (pressing R) and how that information is then communicated to your team mates and the other stuff that you get by pressing R.
R is OP afterall

This. And how to tell which target ia and isn't targeted so you can be better at information Warfare.
Personally I think you should just auto-target the first mech over your crosshairs if you don't already have a target but that's me...

When you hit your first target for the second time, it is automatically targeted for you.

Id like a more thorough torso twisting tutorial, people need to not die so much.
A comprehensive mechlab tutorial, something good would be to tell people that there are a lot of under-performing weapons that they should not use if they want to have an easy time doing good.
