Not sure if this has been asked before, but it would be great to be able to test, on a testing map, a mechlab build without having to spend all those C-bills first.

so, take a trial mech. set it up how you would like it in mechlab, then take it for a run in a testing map to see if you like your build.
no points or XP or anything, just testing grouping, heat management, speed and the like. if you don't like it, scrape it without the huge C-bill cost. if you do like your build, pay the money and run.

I like that we can use trial mechs in pub and CW, but you have to spend the C-bills to buy them before you can see how they'd perform with the layout you'd like.

anyone agree?

Or even one of your owned mechs that you're trying a new build on. Too many times I've spent a bunch of C-bills trying a new build only to find out it still isn't how I'd like it.

It would be great to be allowed to go to any training ground to see what it handles like before saving it.
