The Antares Scorpions are one of the most successful E-Sports teams in MWO, with teams in Europe and North America. Right now, we are starting to build up a new Asian-Pacific/Oceanic section, and are looking for competitive experienced and new pilots alike!

We have been very successful for years in all major leagues and tournaments like the MRBC, RHoD, MLMW, LMS, ISW, MCW, proxies, and the PGI's official tournaments.

Here is an excerpt of our achievements:
1st Place - Dudes First 4v4 Bowling Tournament Scorpions Team 1
3rd Place - Dudes First 4v4 Bowling Tournament Scorpions Team 2
2nd Place - MRBC Season 6 - EU DIV A
1st place - MRBC Season 5 - EU DIV A
2nd Place - MRBC Season 4 - EU DIV A
1st place - MRBC Season 3 - EU DIV B
1st place - MRBC Season 2 - EU DIV C
3rd Place - MRBC Season 6 - NA DIV A
1st place - MRBC Season 5 - NA DIV B
2nd Place - MRBC Season 4 - NA DIV B
2nd Place - MRBC Season 3 - NA DIV A
1st place - MRBC Season 2 - NA DIV A
1st place - Rhod 4v4 EU Season 5
1st place - Rhod 8v8 EU Season 4
1st place - MCW Trial of Position (Peripheries) Season 4
Semifinalist - PGI Tournament 'First Commitment'
Semifinalist - MLMW Season 1
1st place - LMS NA 2nd tournament
Overall champions of LMS Season 1
Holders of the 'Most outrageous drop deck' award in Proxis season 1
Six out of ten members on the MVP list for Dudes First 4v4 Bowling Tournament

As we are an international team with a number of players from the AP time zones as well, we are currently building up a Asian Pacific/Oceanic team to complement our NA and EU teams.

To form this new team we are looking for both ambitious new pilots as well as seasoned veterans with a competitive mindset.

If you...

... have a competitive mindset and want to play MWO as an e-sport.

... want to compete on the highest level in a top e-sports-team and participate in tournaments and leagues.

... are ready to commit the necessary time for regular practice, training, scrimmages, leagues and tournaments.

... are ambitious, willing to learn and want to improve continually.

... like an international environment with pilots from all parts of the Asia Pacific/Oceanic region and the rest of the world and you are fluent in English.

... are a team player, helpful and just a nice person. Come join us!

We offer all our pilots a mentoring program as they enter the unit, a comprehensive training program with a variety of proven training methods, regular scrimmages with other top e-sports teams and the chance to play in our league teams, whether in AP, NA or EU.

We consider pilots of all levels, but do require that they possess a willingness to learn. We give all our pilots an opportunity to practice together and scrim other teams, believing that training players gives the best results.

Training times:
Europe Side - from 8pm GMT (3pm EST) Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday
North America Side - from 9pm EST (1am GMT) Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday
Oceanic Side - from 8 PM AEST (4 AM EST/9 AM GMT) Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday
Combined EU and NA practice on Sundays

We also have a fun drinking event weekly on Saturdays at 9 PM EST (1 PM AEST Sunday)--Booze and Battlemechs!

Not quite enough members in the oceanic team to do matches on our own yet--I want at least another four people first.

Otherwise, would love to!

Playing this game with esport in mind is certainly appealing, but I do have to ask if an Australian/NZ/Oceania team is viable purely on the basis that our internet will always(at least for the next decade or so) have latency issues. The few times I have considered esport seriously I basically came to the conclusion that I would need to move from Australia to the US/Europe because of the latency issues and the internet services here overall.

That being said latency is only a smallish part of the equation and would be great to have a chat regarding your goals etc for an Oceanic/APAC/etc team to see if I would be a good fit as I am interested in having a red hot go.

I'm a reliable member on both the NA and EU teams. Latency isn't so bad--it's more packet loss that is the killer. Just gotta practice so you know where to lead your shots.
We have training tonight if you want to come on and say g'day! We can talk more then. :) (8 PM AEST)

(And we're actually on right now, too!)

Time to say thank you to OMC. As we are still a small unit in AP/Oceanic, we joint forces with OMC for this Season of MRBC and it has been a blast. Together we came 2nd overall in AP Division A. Thank you guys it was really fun and we are looking forward to continue our cooperation.

In the meantime a couple of players joined our team and we are happy about the great talent we acquired already. If you are interested in playing mwo as an e-sport and want to challenge the best teams in the region, come and join Antares Scorpions.

We are getting to the point of reliable 8-mans and scrimming regularly. In an AP region and interested in playing competitively? Give us a look!

Also looking for new and old comp players to join us! We have a very talented core of players.

We consider pilots of all levels, but do require that they possess a willingness to learn.
We give all our pilots an opportunity to practice together and scrim and believe that training players gives the best results.

No classism, no egos, no drama queens, only nice people.

We are looking for active players who are interested in team-play, no matter if more comp, CW, or casual orientated.
