- Russ just announced there will be no April Roadmap posted today. Because the April patch is all about CW Phase 3 and he was busy and not motivated to write it, since it was all about CW Phase 3 only.
- Smaller engines (e.g. Locusts with XL180's) will get some improved heat dissipation. If I understand it correctly, all light mechs will still need 10 heat sinks, but they will all be 10 trudubs, effectively? I may have gotten this wrong.
- PPC and ER PPC heat lowered.
- Zoom will now be client-side, so there won't be any lag on zoom anymore.
- Command wheel coming in May, probably. Minimap will be changed, showing the whole map or a bigger area of the whole map. Every time someone uses the command wheel, they will ping on the minimap, so you can see who is talking.
- All rescales coming in June patch. Basically every mech in the game. A lot of quirk changes coming in June and July as a result.
- Deckles coming in June patch.
- New Frozen City in May or June.
- 2 new map designers hired. A bunch of new people hired in the past few months. "The team is growing". The sky is probably not falling tomorrow.
- Solaris probably next thing after CW Phase 3. Maybe this is old news, but it's definitely being called Solaris now, which implies arenas, crowds, commentators, etc.
Russ explains Solaris will have ranked 1v1 and ranked 8v8. So you will have ranked top players and ranked top 8-man teams with names (e.g. "The Hateful Eight"). - Russ confirms that there's no pink camo colour in the game because Russ & Dennis were worried that it'd make the game look too silly and immature. He may reconsider, they're going to discuss it.
- New Skill tree will be a priority after CW Phase 3 is out. It's "on top of the list".
- PVE will be "stand-alone". Whatever that means. Could be interpreted as an offline game with MWO assets, maybe.
- No Loyalty point reset.
- No Battle of Tukayyid 3
- Dragonfly is next mech pack. Another mech pack will be announced shortly (in less than a month?), but they're not doing a 1-1-1-1 mech pack or Clan Wave 4, because they couldn't find a selection of 4 different mechs from each weight class that Russ believed were solid choices.
