A couple of buddies and I are looking for a unit to call home. We are mature and experienced players and would like to find the same. We are not looking for a huge unit, but just enough players that are active so we can have a full group to drop with in CW. Prefer a smaller active North American unit over a unit with mass numbers – active unit being the key here. We play most evenings during the week (Central Time). Weekends are hit and miss as we have family stuff going on.

We are looking for easy-going, mature players who are focused, competent and competitive, but still know how to have fun in the process.

We took a hiatus from the game for about a year and half and so just recently returning. Used to play competitively before the break. In the short amount of time since I’ve returned I have managed to work myself from tier 5 to tier 2 and well on my way to tier 1. One of my buddies just started playing again in the past week, so he has a little way to go as I’m getting him briefed on the changes since we last played, but his skills are on par with mine.

Give me a shout here on the forums or in game. Currently running under the [KOIL] unit name, which is just our little 4 man group.

You are welcome to drop with cbr1 and try us out. We're smallish, about 112 with 67 regularly active, play CW all the time and can get full 12s almost anytime. We play hard bug are very loose as a unit, choosing contracts and such by vote. rodcbr1.teamspeak3.com:5565 if you wanna group up and meet the team.

We aren't a German unit, its just that Steiner is lorewise predominantly of German culture and therefore attracted many pilots from that country.
We are international and have 230 active players in all timezones.

As part of that small group I appreciate all of your replies. I am currently myself trying out a unit of peeps ive known for quite some time. Here is what I know personally what I am looking for.

1. Mature players.
2. No time requirements as i have a full time job and kids.
3. Not stuck with one house so a merc unit that rotates (clan and IS)
4. CW as a first class citizen group.
5. CST time zone 7pm till midnight core hours.
6. Decent players who can be serious when needed but also know how to "let down your hair"
7. Some sort of rank / structured group.
8. Flexible on membership as i want to play with my friends i have known since grade school. (30+ years )
9. Not boring... LOL AKA the group as a whole needs to have some ***** and personality.
10. Active players, (read as dedicated core members who play 20+ hours a week).
