I realize that the short-bus kids had to have something to play but the LRM fest is making this game almost unplayable.
Certainly not spending another dime on this game until some balance is restored.

1. Archer was just released. It has a lot of missle hardpoints.
2. Polar Highlands was released not too long ago. It is a rather open map that is lrm friendly.
3. Grim Plexus was just released. It also has large open areas that are lrm friendly.
4. Don't stand out in the open away from cover. It's a really bad idea.

People who complain about dying from LRMs have no skill.

SOLUTION. MAKE ALL MISSILES NON LOCKING. MAKE THEM MUCH FASTER AND BETTER IN EXCHANGE FOR NOT BEING "HOLD MOUSE OVER LARGE RED BOX WARRIOR ONLINE."
CHROMEHOUNDS HAD MANY FORMS OF HIGH VELOCITY MANUALLY AIMED ROCKETS AND MISSILES, AND IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY. The one Defining point OF MECH GAMES IS THAT THEY AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT HYPER LONG RANGE SNIPING. THAT'S WHAT TANKS ARE FOR. MECHS ARE BADASS STOMP IN AND WRECK, but not as stable or accurate as a tank. If you want mega ranged fights with machines, go play world of tanks please. BIPEDAL Mechs are supposed to be about maneuverability, not cross map sniping. If you want that you get wheels or quad legs or tank tracks.
MAKE MECH GAMES GREAT AGAIN. MAKE ALL WEAPONS MANUALLY AIMED AND SKILL ONLY.

I've heard a lot complaints about LRM's over the years. I've never heard anyone equate them to sniping. Well done.

This game in general is getting longer and longer ranged every year. The playerbase gets more and more timid, and fights end up being like monopoly with mechs. Slow wearing down with no large drastic actions. This is a mech game, it doesnt have to be this way. My point is that everything with zero exception should be aimed by the player. Chromehounds had short, medium, and long range missile artillery. All of them worked well and where fun to fight against, and they where all manually aimed. Its just cheese when some person with palsy can destroy the hell out of your slower mechs because he has anti skill lock on missiles that he doesn't even have to do ANYTHING to get a lock on.
The people who are hitting you from 900M should be really damn good, I should respect someone for hitting me at massive range, not want to rip out his router and force him to learn to ******* aim weapons in video games.
Auto lock weapons are plain bad for gaming, that's the end of it. long range indirect combat shouldn't be "stare at red box sim" it should be incredible skill and timing, knowing the maps, getting intel on enemy movements. If I had my way artillery cannons would replace lrms completely, and that would just be our long range indirect combat from now on. You still get to hit people you can't see, and your enemy gets to respect you for being that good at hitting people with skill based artillery.

Yup... And you're done.
Weapons with locking capabilities have been a staple of not only video games, but also real military weapons for the last several decades.
