You might try the Steiner communication hub. It is a tool for those Steiner pilots and units that wish to get and stay in touch with like-minded players.

I would be doing an injustice, however, not to point out that there are several great units who are recruiting here on the MWO forum who are not currently on the Hub, so browse these forums as well to be sure you find a unit that matches your desires for time and play style. We have several unaffiliated pilots dropping with members of multiple units on our TeamSpeak server which gives them the opportunity to get to know a unit and it's members before signing on. Just a heads up, Skye Rangers is House Steiners leading Unit atm. We have more pilots than all of the other units combined, and an average of 15-20 people on TS3 at any given time.

Yeah, there are times when I've gotten on TS with SR and there are over 50 members online.
