Please make your threads in the appropriate section please! I know GD is a main area to discuss MWO but we already have a forum about FW discussion.

I'm trying to keep the forums cleaned up and organized, Thanks!

From now on, I'm moving all threads relevant to FW to the FW sub-forum.

Thank you Scout.

FW discussion should be in the CW Forum (<irony here). It's annoying when you have to go to multiple places to discuss one thing.

as in, FW game modes, routes, etc.

Discussion about mechs within it, however, are considered both FW and GD content, and can be in either Forum/Sub-Forum. Equipment within FW is also considered GD, per example, the Long Tom's Damage and mechanics.

I noticed it's called "Faction Pl.ay" now. PGI might want to rename the sub-forum for the benefit of new players.

We already have enough issues with players having different levels of knowledge having to let MM sort them out.

I agree with the logic but maybe wait a day or 2 to not punish folks who are either posting or reading to not get to the specifics being discussed.

Personally I am not in favor of pampering folks, but if I complain too loudly about their lack of skill I get swift kick in the ***, so I am trying to find a kinder way to escort them as family to the tree of MWO knowledge.

Of course, so far, haven't given out any warnings yet. After Friday though, going to have to start warning people, as they should be able to see this since it's pinned.

Thank you.

On a side note, I have many years experience with graphic design mostly in Web and one thing I need to emphasize with my clients is to not make everything important on a page [caps, bold, font changes and color] because every time this is done it removes the emphasis on the items that have these formatting choices.

I have noticed an increase in the number of pins and now pay less attention to them. This is hard to balance especially since everybody really does read info differently especially the folks who manage the content. I can not give you an answer just my experience with this same problem elsewhere (many times it is a compromise)

Why don’t you combine both sections and make your life easier it’s not like it’s a big deal

I can't do that, that's up to PGI. If you want contact them via email or PM here.

Yeah like myself and the three other people who tried the Scout/counterscout mode only to be completely turned off it by finding out that your enemies dont even have to show up at the drop point to win the mode. Nothing explained this in game, nothing told us what we should be doing, nothing like that and its fairly insane to think that people are going to go read the patch notes and find the explanation there just to be able to play the mode.

The three other guys in the drop said they were done with CW/FW until thats fixed or more information of the mode IN GAME became available.

I had made the comment that I was done with CW/FW till they put in the PUG/team mode because Id made the mistake that I thought they'd put that in. I have no love for being seal clubbed by premades in that mode.

When they get the chance, FW should be part of the MechWarrior Tutorial. A small one at that, to let them know what goes on there real quick, then they can have the full on tutorial, which loads them into a CW map entirely.

true, that would be good too. but I think most would like to interact rather than read, much like someone would rather play a video game than read about it, right?

but its the best compromise when theyre expecting ppl already to read the patch notes to learn and thats crazy
