totally nonsense gaming concept, but looks like it would be fun to play.

A lot of these games look like they were developed in unreal engine 4.

I wonder if UE4 represents a big advantage over cryengine these days allowing developers to achieve high functionality with relatively low cost.

Cross Out is basically War Thunder meets Mad Max. Targem is a Gaijin affliate that did the excellent Star Conflict, aka War Thunder in space. So everything you see in Cross Out was did with the same Dagor engine used in War Thunder and Star Conflict. This engine is very optimized for vehicular warfare, and Gaijin uses April Fools events on War Thunder to further push the engine's boundaries, did mechs last year, did sailing ships this year.

I got the sense that UE worked very well on Hawken, though that is the last game I had UE with.

As for CryEngine, I am starting with Armored Warfare and boy I was pleasantly surprised that I am running the game with very high settings with very smooth high frame rates, and this in maps that are much larger, visually more complex and photo realistic terrain than in MWO. I was just like blown away and could not believe this is the same engine as on MWO; it really makes a huge difference when you have developers that truly know how to exploit it.

Despite Armored Warfare using very complex tank models, War Thunder's Dagor engine though has a more photo realistic look in the textures, and Dagor can feature things like worn metal shining through the ruined paint of a tank. Lately Wargaming has pushed their Big Game engine to a new level, but given this I would say CryEngine on AW still looks a little better, than Big Game but still a little behind Dagor.

I played a pretty decent amount of Robocraft back when I last took a break from MWO, and honestly I had a lot of fun with it. Its almost a comical Chromehounds, although nowhere near the same level of complexity of course.

That said this game actually looks like a lot of fun. Silly and not really anything too complex, but fun nonetheless. I was smiling when he was building his "Freedom machine".

That realistic Robocraft looks fun as hell, probably way better than Robocraft cause it won't be broken as hell I hope.
