Is it just me or are the Black Knights overly quirked? It is getting ridiculous now that everyone plays them. Ohh look a Black Knight! Let me guess, 3 Large Pulse Lasers and 5 Medium Lasers. Say good bye to your CT or left and right torsos! Doesn't help that they can blast out 3 or 4 alphas before overheating. NOTHING can compete with them when it comes to mobility, firepower, and range. At least tone down the quirks a bit. IMO it's really unbalanced.

It's two alphas before it starts to over heat.

Leave the black knight as is.

Remove clan fixed equipment.

It's a 75 ton mech it shouldn't be a POS. Now that they pulled the armor into line with the other heavy mechs I'm OK with it.

Overquirked?
No just to many E HPs
Laservomit 58dmg with cooldown modules 3.4sec - with staggering fire the last (third salvo) 9.2sec - 174 dmg in 9sec - are you dead? Maybe twisting is a thing. Coolshots Hm maybe you can get 5 alpha.

Btw a As7-S could do the same in 4sec nerf Atlas?

Black Knight is fine, it's a 75 ton heavy.

PGI needs to reduce or remove the clan nerfs, unlock some equipment, etc

Learn to twist? It's laser damage, twist and you'll put all that damage across your LT/CT/RT, I'd be more worried about a PPC packing Warhammer since that's PPFLD...

Um... How about engaging outside its operational range?

They just nerfed it.

The reason it has good quirks is because it's weapon mounts are all belly level. It's strong yes, but I don't know if it really needs another nerf. I would like to see how balance would stand if they gave Clan small and medium lasers their range back.

Think of it as the IS getting a new aggro tank. The clans have the timby which attracts nearly all the fire power when it appears, the black Knights seem to be the same for the IS. They priorities it as they know it'll hurt if they leave it alone. They may be powerful but with all that aggro many don't last long anyways

Hell just remove the I.S. all together and lets play Clan. That will "balance" things... ;)

I think Black Knights are fine. What I would like to see is laser duration increased for most IS lasers, and all duration quirks changed to something else.
