The other day I heard part of a country/folk song about the "Red Coats are coming and are marching down the road". It sounded neat but I don't know who sings it or the actual name of the song. It had a catchy tune, slow paced, and was easy to listen to.

In 1814 we took a little trip, along with colonel jackson down the mighty mississip. we took a little bacon, we took a little beans, and we fought the bloody british in the town of new orleans?

Are you referring to Johnny Horton's Battle for New Orleans? It's a classic! :)

Johnny did a lot of historical songs, including Sink the Bismark!

As I said, I don't know the title. I will be checking out Mr. Horton's work. Thank you.

You're very welcome!

If that's not it, let me know and I'll see what I can dig up.
