GHR-5N

A little hot, and a little vulnerable, but it's punchy and very mobile.

5P, XL340 3LPL 5ML. It's meta simply because it's that good. Hard points are located relatively high.

Large Laser Boat GHR-5P http://mwo.smurfy-ne...ac5e5ed5038a1b9

only concern is the ghost heat - could be a problem if a new player doesnt figure it out

While your build is better, i think something like this might be better for new players.

Has more cooling than the standard laser vomit, the lasers are shorter duration and avoids ghost heat completely.

another option is this:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7afd87de3576804

One more laser for more firepower, less heat eff when alpha spamming and a smaller engine.

Faster engine that fits more double heat sinks within. 2x large pulses, and 4x medium pulses.

GHR-5P

or the armor version below with a sacrificial arm (to protect your xl engines a bit more)

3 Large Pulse Lasers as a high mounted strike in torso.
2 Small Pulse Lasers as close range backup, low mounted in torso to hit light mech pests.
18 double heat sinks for the win.
3 jump jets.

Runs 78.7 without speed tweak. Jumps 22 meters mostly for turning.

Fast. Nimble. High mounted range. The secondary weapons are only good for close range. Alpha strikes are rare. LPL are pinpoint at a distance and ideal for taking snap shots while on the move. Strike turn strike, turn close strike. Runs cool even on hot maps. If red lining small pulse cool down quickly and don't build heat. Not an Alpha strike meta build. You have to shoot while moving/jumping to appreciate.

With the increased size the Grasshopper is not as XL friendly, plus XLs and new players for IS do not go that well together.
So I propose this build:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...bea79fd8819af18

Compromised on speed but still goes at 75 kph and has just the 2 Large Pulse Lasers but they are in the high mounts.

GHR-5N "Winter Warrior"

This is a pretty standard fair hopper without all the bells and whistles. Equipped with a shoulder mounted Large Laser, with medium lasers equipped throughout. This model was designed with Faction play in mind as a front line brawler in cold climates.
