I remember this company does it still take 3 months to get a computer from them or have they gotten faster at building them?

Newegg shows 4 Possible options, 3 Lenovo Y50 with a i7-4710HQ, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD+8GB SSD (Likely a 1TB Hybrid HDD)
Other Option is a Refurbished HP Omen 15-5213DX, i7-4720HQ, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD
All of the Above got a GTX 860M & 15.6" 1080P Screen

I'd Guess Low-Medium Settings would work Best for Fallout 4 with that Combo:
Looking for Fallout 4 Related Performance: http://www.notebookc...s.153924.0.html
The 860M with a 4700MQ (~1-3% worse than 4710HQ): http://cpu.userbench...MQ/m11499vs2727) can Only get 60FPS at 1280x720 with the Low Setting Preset with AA:FX (& even with that, it's 69.3 FPS with a Minimum FPS of 58), if you up the Settings to 1366x768 Medium Preset AA:T AF:16x the FPS would be ~40 (43.6 with Min being 38, if you do 1080P with High Preset AA:T & AF:16x you'll get 25-20 FPS (24.5 with Min being 20) Going from high to Ultra would put it to 20.3 FPS with a Min of 16.

For 1080P High Preset with 60FPS, it shows Same CPU (4700MQ) but with a GTX 980M for 65.3FPS & a Min of 53, at 1080P Ultra Preset it goes down to 55FPS with a Min of 42. to get a Laptop like that on Newegg would be $1700-2250 for a DELL Alianware 17 that's Out of Stock: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16834299297

After Looking at Xoticpc though, I Came across this ASUS for $1470 with a i7-4720HQ, 980M, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD & a 17.3" 1080P Screen: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16834234093

that would be better than the 860M, but if you can I'd get the 980M though the 970M should still be OK.
http://www.notebookc...s.153924.0.html
60FPS (65.3-53) with 1080P High Preset is possible in F4 with the 980M, with the 970 it's 49.4-38 FPS

If your OK with 30+ FPS (Like I Probably Would) I'd go 970M But if you want ~60FPS & High Settings then I'd save another $450-500 & go for the 980M.

Hmm, well the MSI is ~$50 more than the ASUS & it's Refurbished
the ASUS Got a Bigger Screen (17.3" Vs 15.6") & More RAM (16GB Vs 12GB) But lacking the 128GB SSD
Overall, I'd say go for the ASUS, if you want a SSD then it's possible to get a 120-128GB for ~$50 to add to it assumeing it got a free HDD/SSD bay.
Also, I Could be mistaken but the ASUS might have better Airflow/Cooling than the MSI so it would run Cooler & Therefore Last longer without worrying about Heat reducing performance

I was thinking the same I was hopping Goose would show up or Mavrck they talk about running a Lenovo Y50 - I7 4710Hq Gtx 860M at a smooth 60fps with Throttlestop 7 - keeps your cpu speed consistent. with a cooling pad whitch I plan on buying as well If thats possible I think the gtx 970m will work fine remember I have been running a crappy computer for 5 years at res. of 1024-786 and only pulling 30 to 40 fps so anything over that would be fantastic .
Well we still have 18 days before my summer money comes in Id be hard pressed at spending no more than $1,100 I still need to build up my solar power on my camper up to 310 watts of power coming in to my three deep cycle 12 volt battery bank the laptops I think the MSI pulls 150 watts an hour so that well cover the laptop and other things like lights, fans, cooking, charging cell phones, thats when the sun is up but at night Il all so have a generator backup for though's long nights of hard gaming.

P.S. you think the refurbished mite be taking to big of a chance Lord ?

Hey, I was just checking out hte mwo website due to the marauder iic -- the game has been in a terrible state this past year and I just haven't found it as interesting as a mobile phone fighting game called marvel contest of champions... super crazy bosses -- 15 minute fights --- 1 hit KO? yes please Posted Image -- tinyurl.com/mavmastery

As for laptops --- amazing time !

http://www.anandtech...launching-today

Basically, the new 1080 mobile chips are 2x the speed / performance of the 9x0 series --- and yea, my lenovo has held up great with its 860m and i7 with throttlestop..

still, the 1080s are a direct replacement and a full 2x of each respective chip so my plan will be in the future to get a 1080s or later chip to replace this computer sometime...

there is a significant jump in price from each tier x60 -> x70 -> x80 ... but the x60 is more than sufficient for mwo... but defiintiely the best bang / buck is splurging $200 for the x60 to x70...

I plan to do this in my next system ... for star citizen more than mwo..

CPUs will not be improving greatly in speed mhz -- but they will drop thermal temperatures / increase thermal efficiency.. remember consistent 3.5 ghz is better than fluctuating 2.0 to 4.0 ghz.

good luck!

Black friday / Nov coming up soon and your best deals will come then! After that, wait for Feb.. post xmas deals.. usually a little better but 4-5 months later and much less stock..

1060 or 1070 now or bust.. do not buy any 9x0 or 8x0!

Look in your local Pawn Shops. I found a really nice Asus ROG laptop with a core i7, 16GB ram, 17inch screen, and only paid like $450 for it, retails over $900. Asus makes great laptops.
