HAMMERHANDS
The Warhammer's bid daddy and one hell of a kick in the teeth when it hits you.

Timeline irrelevant: The new requirement was that its base variant had game viable tech (weapons, equipment, etc) and bonus if it had more usable variants as well.
There's talk that the Madcat MkII will in fact be added (possibly not this year though) even though its out of timeline because its tech is viable.

My guess: Rakshasa. Not a ton of variants, but PGI can fill it in.

They need to do a lot of variant crafting for that.
They did a lot of variant creation for the MAD-IIC and the Mauler. We've crossed that line already.
I forgot about the Bushwacker - I think there's more buzz around that Mech than the Nightstar.
I just can't see them producing a light - people won't see it as cost effective. PGI has backed themselves into a corner with the new release/package structure. Lights are not that expensive in game, and $15 for a hero is TOO EXPENSIVE. They would need to release 2-3 different lights to justify the cost. Admittedly, the first thought I had when they announced the MAD-IIC was "It free's up the modelers to work on a multiple new models, maybe lights." I don't think that will happen.

Perhaps if they released the Stinger and the Wasp as a single mech and just named the variants differently depending on their hardpoints. Or even their big brother the Valkyrie.
