Seems expensive. That's the price of 4 Mech Bays ... no doubt that's how the price was set.

But wait a sec... I already bought all the Mech Bays needed for my 250 Mechs. And none of those Mech Bays become re-available when I assign the Mechs in them to drop decks.

So why should I need to buy the equivalent of 4 extra Mech Bays for each drop deck...?

This feels like 'double-dipping' to me. What's your view?

Gougers gonna gouge!

I think the Scouting dropdeck thing is a complete scam though.

I don't set the dropdeck often (outside of changing IS/Clan factions), so I don't give a damn honestly.

I'm not going to buy them because I don't really play faction warfare anyway. Would be at least somewhat useful for those who do and want to be able to switch decks quickly.

As for pricing, there have been several threads around demonstrating that PGI's store pricing follows pretty much no logic at all, so...*shrug*

TBH, I can't even justify buying slots since I don't play FW primarily either.

Yeah? And they gave you one for free. But I guess life wouldn't be worth living if you didn't piss and moan about everything.

About damn time.
Ready drop decks are the lick.
No more fixing drop decks in 12 seconds.
Thanks PGI.

the second one is free so everything beyond that can cost a bit more. imho this is ok, i the end we suggested that pgi takes money for that and as you won't buy many of these decks the price is acceptable. This is the prime example of pay-for-convinience so i'm totally ok with it.

1200MC ~ 7 bucks. To put together an extra drop deck. For functionality that we ought to have had years ago as part of the normal CW user interface. 15 bucks for two more, 30 if for some reason you need extra scout decks too.

Hmm.

I think If I still cared about CW I would be pissed about this. Post phase 3 however...meh. Just another cash grab.
PGI's gonna PGI.

Expensive, but atleast a step in the right directions since people have been asking for several dropdecks since the first day CW came out. They could have earned alot of money if this was added with CW when it first came out. Now? Not alot

I would be outraged...

... if faction play wasn't so damned boring that I don't want to play anyway. gg bottleneck warfare.

They should let those with premium time just have it.

But why? better to pay for drop decks than for gold ammo. Somehow they have to earn money and convinience and camo items are the best way to keep p2w out.

There are other ways to monetize this game.

Remember the custom cosmetic geometry idea?

Which part of my having already spent more than $1800 funding the development of MWO seems like 'free' to you, genius...?

But I guess your tiny life wouldn't be worth living if you couldn't play the douche in threads where paying customers merely ask other customers for their opinions.

It's gotta be the $1800. You didn't spend $500 for the Gold mech after all!!1!111!

;) :D

I'll see how clunky it is to have 1 hot deck and 1 cold deck before I decide if I need any additional drop decks. I usually only change ballistic or energy depending, so I probably don't even need more than 2 drop decks.

I could see Long Range or Short range for both hot and cold but I feel less inclined to bother @ 1200MC a pop.

Perhaps one of the faction rewards for being a loyalist can be 1 additional faction provided dropdeck eh?

Brilliant! +1 Sell premium time instead, if a players premium time expires, the additional drop decks become invalid. It would definitely add more value to premium time.

I came to terms with paying a bit for it. I was expecting say 300 MC. All I'm saying is that 1200MC seems a bit OTT.
